Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Can someone please answer this? I Logged into my account seeing the following message. What does this mean? When we stream videos we won't get full resolution after using 50GB? Like amazon prime, Netflix, YouTube etc?
--(snip)--.
Seems odd as depending on plans, T-Mobile offers to pay your Netflix subscription for free, along with an option for small premium upgrade to full 4k UHD.. So to then not allow Netflix subscribers to access what they pay extra for doesn't make sense. EDIT: read terms again, and looks like if you pay the small extra charge for Netflix 4k UHD, that limit does not apply as you are no longer on a lower-prioritized plan.

Go here: https://www.t-mobile.com/home-int...ernetDeals [t-mobile.com]

If you see it, sign up yourself. The price will show $50 all the way through checkout. You'll get $25 credit each month.

You don't have to call/chat/talk to a rep. And even reps can't magically create a promo that is $25 by itself. These are all either $50 or $55 plans and you get a credit each month making it $25.
Thanks, but I've tried that for several days now. Just tried that again. The last page shows this:
"To secure your spot for a reliable home internet plan with high-speed Wi-Fi Gateway device INCLUDED, call 1-888-986-0364 or chat with our T-Mobile Experts now."

I think there is just no way for me to get this deal without giving up my old plan, but I am unwilling to do that. Thanks Anyhow

Limited time offer; subject to change. During congestion, heavy data users (>50GB/mo. for most plans) and customers choosing lower-prioritized plans may notice lower speeds than other customers; see plan for details. Unlimited high-speed data in U.S. only while on our network. Video typically streams on smartphone/tablet at DVD quality (480p) at up to 1.5Mbps unless you add Plus Max to deliver video streams at speeds that provide up to UHD video capability (max 1080p4K); some content providers may not stream their services in UHD. May affect speed of video downloads; does not apply to video uploads.

If you haven't, I'd reach out to the T-Mobile team on Twitter. They seem to be able to do anything and are higher level support.

And since the internet service requires cell phone plan, there is a sort of connection between the two as far as billing and availability goes. If they are also your internet provider, yet can't provide the 4k UHD, at a minimum you should be entitled to a refund of the phone service line plan's 4k UHD premium that applies to ALL Netflix devices, not just phones or tablets? Unless the plans tied together moves you up the ladder of prioritized plans, and they do not lower speed when your each 50GB limit?. I'll be thoroughly testing Netflix 4k UHD with Atmos and Vision to push the limit during the 2 week test run (Netflix normal 4K Ultra HD uses about 7+ GB an hour)

Contacted FB Rep this morning (about 3 hrs ago), she was able to set me up with this promotion, no need a Voice Line.
Will see if it works or not, I am in a TMO "dead zone". I have 15 days to cancel the service if it doesn't work out. Currently, I have Xfinity 800 Mbps for $50/month which isn't bad at all.

Haven't received their Email Confirmation yet, how long does it take?

That's good to know. What did you mention to get this without a voice lice?

We are close to 64. Shows 61 now but not everyone is home.

2500 sq house and the gateway is upstairs on a shelf by a window. Excellent speeds everywhere on that (just testing with my 5 g phone) except on the exact opposite side of the house downstairs.

The nest is upstairs as well, on a tv stand in an open area with direct site to downstairs (open area). Hardwired to the gateway and or frontier modem.

If I go into the google home/nest app and run a hardwired speed test from the gateway to the nest router I get 157 down and 30.7 up.

Same test with fios, same all devices connected to the nest (just removing the T-Mobile gateway and adding back the frontier) the hardwired nest speed test shows 489 down and 453 up.

Seems like I am losing some speed on the transfer.
Make sure the nest's WiFi radio is OFF if you're getting 157 with nest hardwired to the T Mo unit. Update nest's firmware and reset. If you MUST have 5GHz and maximum transfer speed, then try a different mesh manufacturer.

A centrally located quality router should provide good 5GHz coverage at 2500 sq ft. Keep it simple for maximum speed, stability, and reliability. Note that when you broadcast 2GHz and 5GHz at the same time, some WiFi receivers will have problem locking into the correct signal. You can set up the router to broadcast 2.4GHz with one SSID, and 5GHz with another SSID. 5GHz offers superior speed, while 2.4GHz superior coverage.

Thanks. We have the nest router and 3 of the google wifi pucks/points.

No way to manually update the firmware, but I can factory reset them later. Shouldn't be difficult.

I am on simple choice plan with Tmobile with 6 voice lines out of 2 are free and have family international. I don't have Netflix free. The message I sent is showing under my internet plan. I asked this question on Twitter the following is Tforce response
The 50GB of usage is our typical option when it comes to any plans, but with your Home Internet the speeds will be based on how many customers are using the service in your area, how many devices you have connected, what you are using the connection for, and placement in your home. Typically our Home Internet customers do not see slower speeds after 50GB as we do try to prioritize them. How is everything going so far with your experience?

I could get behind this as a backup option to my current FiOS setup, or maybe find a way to multiplex the connections.
Maybe as a last resort failover for VoiP or essential services, otheriwse, why?. I have never had a FIOS line go down in the many years I have had service.

from what I can tell, and by reading that quote, there seem be be a couple of things that might be happening here;

1) it seems like there are limited number of the HSI accounts available in each neighborhood, I'm assuming to prevent over congestion so in that case you might be out of luck until someone either cancels service, moves, or more spots are opened for each tower.

2) Another reason might be that the band for 5G (41, 66 or 71) is not available on the tower closest to you. Try checking out cell mapper.net (this happened at my parents house, they have a LTE band tower but not 5G close by and they can't get the service at their house, officially)

if you have a relative close by, you can try putting that address, signing up for the service and then trying the modem at your house. If it doesn't work, you can always return it. But it looks like your address is not compatible with the service
