Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Just a update, I decided to return the T-mobile router. It was a little to laggy for home gaming. If I was able to get it for $25 as a Sprint customer I might have kept it.

so is it true that the home internet download/upload speed will be the same as your T-Mobile mobile 5G speed? and I can check my current phone speed to find out the speed I'll be getting for home internet? Anyone? Thank you!

Your internet speeds with be slightly worse than phone. Tmobile prioritizes cell phones over home internet. Still not bad for me though.

YMMV, but I'm seeing about 50% faster speeds on my phone vs home internet router. I do have Magenta Max on my phone

Download the T-Mobile home internet app. It's under advanced settings. You can see the LTE signal stats and the 5G stats

On your browser, type in this IP address: http://192.168.12.1/ This is the IP address of the gateway. Once you are in, you will see a network overview, and this page will let you check and configure your network plus you can tell are you connected to both primary and secondary signals. If you have both signals connected, you will get faster download and upload speeds. Good luck.

Got it, yes I'm connected to both LTE and 5g. I'm also on the faster n41 band for 5g.

Still noticing a slight blurriness of video calls.

It appears that 4 bars (VERY GOOD) is the max I have seen anyone reporting. Have you seen 5 bars? Anyone?

so you were able to sign up in basically the heart of DTLA. Did you end up using the shipping address of your family or simply used their address to bypass the "Not available in your area" error but then input your correct address to obtain equipment? Was equipment sent to your family in 90031 or sent to your location in SGV?
The rep I ordered with didn't allow me to change the shipping address so the equipment was sent to my Los Angeles address.
