Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

for the $100 rebate, entered the wrong zip code by mistake. Do you think it will affect the rebate status?

Do you have a link to the $200 gift card deal? I'm assuming it is for porting over numbers to new lines?
No Link. This was offered to me over chat as a new customer if I signed up with the Magenta Max plan.

BTW, I received my router and immediately sent it back. I was only getting anywhere from 30-50 kbps.

I have weak cellphone signal in my apartment. The Home Internet is showing only 20mbps download and 2mbps upload speed. Any suggestions to improve this speed? If no solution then i will be returning this back.
try to place it in each window and rotate it around at least four tries (each direction) in each Window. I went from 20 to 300 occasionally. On average mine gets 80.

I googled and want to confirm here, there's no static ip for home internet, right?
You can get it if you have a business account and a specific gateway model that supports it.

This is ABSOLUTELY the worst deal EVER for old Sprint Customers who got sucked up by T-Mobile

1st I went into a store and got the device.
They told me they could NOT add it to my T-Mobile account because I was an original Sprint Customer so they set me up w/a new T-Mobile account just for this deal.

Then, when I tried to sign up for an account to pay the bill, I was told that I could not get the special price since I did not have an existing T-Mobile line on the new account (yet I have 5 lines on my Sprint/T-Mobile account). They then told me I'd lose any promotion on my existing Sprint/T-Mobile account if they merged the accounts.

So, I just turned in the device the next day. Figured I was done with it.

Today, I get a $55 bill for the device...I called in and they told me that the account was never fully closed! WTF!!!! Now they try to tell me that I will have to pay a pro-rated charge for the one day of usage.

I have over 5 hours invested in this "Worst" Deal of my SlickDeals History!

Wow...us Sprint/T-Mobile customers really got screwed on this deal

No, YOU are mistaken in your understanding of what I wrote.
If YOU are a legacy Sprint Customer and you were able to fully get this deal...then explain away.

Otherwise, you have NO idea...

I have pretty good speeds, 200 down and 80up. However my video calls seems slightly blurry. Tried whatsapp, Google meets, fb messenger.

Anybody else experiencing this? Does it have to do with the latency? Speeds are good but pings are high.

I had similar issues with youtube. Plenty of speed but the picture quality was lacking, even after placing the gateway where it solidly indicates very good. Apparently showing good or very good isn't good enough!
In the best location I have found so far I alternate 2-3 bars and my TV is benchmarking at around 40-60 Mbps when wirelessly connected to Tmobile router and I'm able to stream 4K/8K video on youtube with no buffering or picture quality issues. Looks perfect. This is on a newer model Samsung TV.

PSA: You can get another year of Paramount+ free as a Home Internet account. The redemption on T-Mobile's website is separate for mobile and home Internet accounts. Just use your assigned number for Home Internet to redeem another code good for one year.
It didn't work for me. When I used my home internet number it still is charging 9.99. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You are lucky. Can you post your 5G advanced cell metrics for reference?

I have between 4-5 bars (very good/excellent) signal strength, down around 350 and up around 65. The problem is, my SINR is between -3 and 4, i.e. the noise on the line is sometimes higher/equal to the signal itself. This results in intermittent data outages.

I've moved the gateway to every square foot in the house with SINR between -10 and -20 in every single spot, except under the roof behind the gable facing the nearest tower where it is now. I'm clueless as to how to improve the SINR further.

RSRQ -11, RSRP between -90 and -85, band n41.
