Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Is this fast enough for gaming? Call of duty on Xbox?
Gaming Latency matters more than speed. Wireless internet has some of highest latency and interference.

Thank!
Will this work if I plug it into my vehicle driving cross country? Or is it locked to my address/state?

Maybe fast enough but you will get very high latency. You will get shot before you see the enemy

This solution needs a PC. Many people only have tablet or phone.

Reminds me of USA folk that stream shows on their tv's. Most of the world streams on their phones. Only people in this country still use tv's.
What the fark?! I'm the only person with a TV and a PC? I must be too dumb to only use my phone...

Can we order for an address where available and use at an address where it says "not yet available?"

Check here for disabling SSID: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hqN7PMRyes

I used my own router to connect to the gateway. Sadly, it passes a private IP instead of the public IP (like a cable modem). Most likely it makes the connection double NAT and no way to add a port or IP to a DMZ zone.

If you're an advanced or heavy user, it may not be the best but works well enough as a backup connection or using it where advance configurations aren't an issue.

Works good enough for my parents who watch Netflix and YouTube.

I signed for this deal a couple of weeks ago. I used my parents address and shows coverage but not my house. Did some experiments around. At my parents address I get consistent 5G at 250-300 mbps. At my house it connects to LTE 4G with only 10 mbps. So for those who are tying to set it up in a address that has no service. Just refrain from getting it

Has anyone confirm if you can have 2 High speed internet lines per account? I signed up for HSI about a year ago... I want to add this promo as a 2nd line and potentially cancel the 1st HSI line down the road. Is that possible?

You basically have 3 options, of which only one I'm sure will 100% work.

1) Keep calling until you get a Rep that is willing to apply the promo on your account. Note that this is a risky one, as even if the Rep forces the promo for your account it might later fall off automatically. The billing system validates the promos every month, if the rep doesn't apply the promo correctly it will be removed automatically eventually by the billing system when it fails the promo requirements validation.

2) This is what some people have been told by some T-Mobile reps and is also based on what others have done with previous promos that have the 90 days term on it. Basically what you do is you add a 2nd Home Internet line and service for which the $25 promo will apply. You will have to keep both lines, the old one at $50 and the new one at $25 for 90 days. After 90 days you ask for the old line to be cancelled and keep the new one at $25. The promo I think says you can't make any changes for 12 months to your account but what the reps and others are saying based on previous experiences is that the 12 months portion of the terms is only applicable to voice lines. Since you are not making any changes to the voice lines and just removed a data/home internet line the promo will stick. Again, this is very very YMMV and again you might end up paying $75 for 90 days and still not getting the promo if this fails.

3) This is the one that will work 100% for sure but it also might have some additional costs. Is basically opening a new account under a relative's or significant other name. If you have a friend that has T-Mobile check if he is Ok getting this deal for you and you paying him the $25. Or open a new account under your spouse's name, this will require a $20 voice line and the $25 internet line. Supposedly you can use a $5 Smartwatch line for this promo too, making it $25+$5 but I have to see yet anyone confirming that works.

Thank you for such a detailed, amazing response. I do appreciate your help!! Applause

I've had this for three months at our new house, along with Starlink. I get 200-300 down. I do get random drops, but never for more than a minute or two.

The latency is way to high for games like call of duty or battlefield.

I use Starlink for gaming and Tmobile for watching shows.

Tmobile said I wouldn't have service at my house because we're out in the country, but it works fine.

Yes you can. But you need at least 90 days to keep the promo

What's your latency? Mine is pretty similar to cable, but not as good as fiber
