Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Someone else commented that it is geofenced..
It isn't geo fenced. I use mine 120 miles away at my second home. No issues.

In term of using your Tmobile Home internet device outside your home.... It is like speeding is breaking the law. But some people still speed and hoping they won't get caught. Eventually if the speeding is getting very bad in certain area, they will send police to catch those speeder and those people luck will ran out.

For Tmobile, to ensure a great experience for everyone, they allocate access to 5G Home Internet on a sector-by-sector basis to only offer it in places where they can ensure there's enough network capacity to deliver a great network performance to all our customers. This means that eligibility is specific to your home address. If you are breaking the rule, you are just hurting yourself and others in your area. And if you are not getting internet service you expected when using the device not as intended, you won't be able to get any support from Tmobile.

And in this case, the terms of service about this is clear and not allowed. And tmobile have a way to figure out which cellphone tower you connect to which mean they know where you are using the device. And everyone that asked Tmobile including their public relationship department and corporations about this and the reply is the same ("not allowed"). I am pretty sure if this become a widespread problem, tmobile may start enforcing the rule. So up to someone if they want to take the risk and get caught in the future.

I've had this for three months at our new house, along with Starlink. I get 200-300 down. I do get random drops, but never for more than a minute or two.

The latency is way to high for games like call of duty or battlefield.

I use Starlink for gaming and Tmobile for watching shows.

Tmobile said I wouldn't have service at my house because we're out in the country, but it works fine.
Why not just use Starlink? Is it capped?

Thanks was able to get this deal using my $5/month Watch plan after two chat attempts... My only plan was: T-Mobile Wearable 500MB with separate number TI.

First one said I needed a full voice line no matter what and the second one said they'd try it and see if it would work after I told them that I can place and make calls with just my Galaxy Watch4 without my phone.
Do you have an LTE watch? When I go to sign up for plan there is no BYOD options

Unless you want constant network lag issues and disconnects, stay away from TMobile 5G Internet. I got speeds up to 600Mbps, but the network lag was intolerable, so returned and went back to Xfinity.

I live in Hollywood, CA and my signal kicks butt. I couldn't tell the difference between Spectrum and T-Mobile speeds. Try it for 15 days and see for yourself. Can't tell you how good it felt to say goodbye to Spectrum. They admitted they can't compete with 25 and offered me 45. I could feel the frustration in the reps voice knowing the end is near for Spectrum. Well closer than ever. So even if you aren't planning to switch give ''em a call and tell 'em you are planning to switch.

Tried their internet when it first came out. Was barely pulling 40mbps with constant buffering and lag. A year later, the service and new gateway have greatly improved. I'm getting 100-130 mbps. Glad I gave them another chance. Ymmv as usual

What phone do you have? If it is a recent T-Mobile phone, does it show 5G UC when connected to the tower at your house? Does it show 5G UC at your parent's house?
I have a P7 Pro with T-Mobile service. By my house the 5G service is almost inexistant, due to the area is still under development, used to be Cow Farms, LTE is ok.
But my parents' area is about 15 years old. I think their 5G towers are better.

I liver by IE in California. T-Mobile is not able to catch up with the demographic explosion.
Some areas you can have full bars with 5G but their bandwidth can't support all the thousands of people scrambled in one location, especially near malls.
