Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

would it automatically connect, or do you have to do something to it for each new location?
Don't know. Haven't had a need to move it as of yet. But I can't imagine having to do anything. It should just fire up and connect.

I've received the equipment a couple days ago and I have found the placement and direction of the gateway is critical to having fast speed. I have found a few of locations where I got 3 bars but the speed is different drastically. Downstairs with 3 bars by a window I was getting about 70Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Upstairs in my loft, the best I got was nearly 500Mbps download and 25 Mbps. In that same location, if I rotate the gateway in different directions, the speed would be affected.

It has been a week using the service but my account doesn't show $25 discount but only $5 autopay discount. On promo page, it says 2022 HINT P22 Enrolled though.

I have a corporate discount on my account. Is there anyone with corporate discount has $25 discount showing up?
Mine shows the same. Hope someone else can chime in on this. Shows $50 with $5 autopay discount. Then shows 2022 HINT P22 enrolled. Nothing that says $25

That's how microware works in data transmission. MAINTAIN LINE-OF-SIGHT with the transmission tower. Position the T Mo unit as high as possible at a windows pointing toward the transmission tower. Rotate the T Mo unit at 5 degree increment to obtain the best speed. Test the speed with LAN cable during off peak hours to obtain the most accurate data. 100Mbps down/5 Mbps up/30ms static ping is good enough for 95% of household.
Get a separate router or use LAN cable if you require stable speed for gaming.

You can buy this $10 service with a SIM card that you can insert into a 5G Ebay T Mo modem and connect to a router via the LAN port. Use Cudy N300 set to TTL to hide hotspot data.

The $10 service requires a business account. You can try to apply online. Many people in the thread I linked above have purchased devices such as an Orbic to use it as home internet but the Orbic has gotten expensive on eBay probably due to this deal.

You can try to sign up with SS# but if it is on TMobile on Sprint postpaid or even in the past you may have trouble like I did. If you have an EIN you can use that instead.

So yes, you can pay $10 a month, but its tough to get signed up, there is an uprfront cost to buying the necessary devices, and its also against terms of service. The plan is meant to be a business tablet plan.

This is a cliff hanger. You need to open a business account, speeds are only 30-50 mbps as reported by users, and there's a lot more tinkering involved. Your essentially taking a tablet plan and making it work as home internet. It doesn't compare IMO.

That's not true. Everyone, including me, report same speeds as this $25 plan. It is a data only plan when you log in. But you also get text messages

The only tinkering you need is to buy a Nokia modem from ebay for under $100, closer to $60,and a Cudy router for $40-50. That's pretty much most of the work, as well as signing up. Hundreds of people have done it for over 6 months

The $25 plan may be superior if you have a nice neighbor that's willing to split the bill. Avoid households with hard core gamers or torrent users. Get a good router that can allocate bandwidth to each connected devices...10Mbps down/1Mbps up is a good starting point.

Arcadyan modem should also work. Not sure if the use of the Arcadyan's LAN port will mask home use data transmission.

Cudy's WiFi is capped at 300Mbps. I've seen 600Mbps with the Arcadyan unit.
