Not really. 32gb ram vs 16 gb . 850W power vs 500w. Nvidia 3070ti vs 3070. Yes there is a $400 difference as well so I'm not saying this is a better deal—- only that it is not really a comparable deal.
After searching crazy for all the computer deals, I finally decided to build PC myself from newegg:
- Rosewill ZIRCON I ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Computer Case with RGB Fan - $49.99
- ASUS Prime Z690-A LGA 1700 ATX motherboard - $219.99 (-$20 rebate)
- Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850W 80+ Gold PSU - $104.99
- DeepCool AK400 Performance CPU Cooler - $27.99
- Samsung 980 PRO M.2 2280 1TB PCI-E SSD - $109.99
- Team T-Force Vulcan 32GB RAM DDR5 5600 - $129.99
- Wavlink AX3000 Wifi 6E PCIe + Bluetooth 5.2 - $29.99

and:
- Intel i7-13700k - $399.99 (ebay)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB - $599.99 (bestbuy now oos)

Ended up paying $1652.91 + tax for this configuration! Just deliver them to your house and piece them up. I might end up spending $40 for thermal paste and other stuff, but ultimately for $1699, you should end up with a much better PC !!

These have some software issues with the sound/headphone jack. Every time windows gets updated, the pc crashes when playing games or watching movies. Have to delete graphics card software and then download the original lenovo software for sound. Pain in the ass imo.

Agree that they're not the same specs, but that the differences in spec and price are in the same scale as the Costco deals.
I think the bump in GPU and PSU make this the better choice even with the additional cost. 500W on the other deal just seemed way too low to me.

On top of the fact that the CPU is overclockable (with a K) and the RAM is a step up to DDR5, plus 6 fans instead of 2

13th Gen i5
3070Ti
32gb DDR

FWIW the Costco T5 deal is also DDR5 and has 3 fans (2 front 1 back). I think either is a decent price for a prebuilt, but this one is probably more bang for your buck

Doesn't seem like that great of a deal for last gen hardware. Especially when a massive price cut on the 4080 is supposed to be coming within a month.

BTW I'm building a 13700KF rig with 32gb DDR5 6400 CL32 ram, top of the line 2TB NVME, top of the line AIO, top of the line case, etc. basically everything top of the line except the motherboard. By the time is all said and done I'll be at about the same price target as this deal with a significantly better rig

Keep in mind this is the previous generation processor, hence some of the deals. It's probably enough for what you guys need, but the 13th gen i7 13700k CPU is fantastic for gaming. It was released in October of this year, so fairly recently.

Not saying this isn't a good deal, just wanted to inform.

What about the GPU? Yea you can build a nicely spec'd current gen machine before GPU for around $1300 give or take, but even if you miraculously find a 3070 Ti at MSRP you're still getting close to $2000. And with Nvidia seemingly holding back the 3000 series stock they said they have warehouses of, that's not happening anytime soon.

And the impending 4070 Ti and 4080 drop are still probably going to be $900-1000.

Not saying it's not a better idea to build yourself, but the GPU bottleneck is still a hassle versus having a machine delivered to your door in a couple of days ready to go.

Also, with a pre-build, if there are issues, you call ONE company: Lenovo. If you build it yourself, you will need to identify and pin-point the culprit (not always easy) and then contact that specific vendor (e.g. mobo, gpu, ram, etc.). Just keep that in mind. I've personally been bouncing between both pre-built and DIY PCs since the early 1990's. (Disclaimer: I'm an Enterprise IT Pro by day.)

What's the best plug and play gaming desktop you can buy for around $1K USD, if you are not concerned about upgrading in the future?

Yes, a very wellknown issue, I had to return it. Can't deal with Lenovo tower no more. Their Motorola phone is good tho lol

Crazy prices for middle of the road hardware and you're not even going to get a good MB or PSU.

Dead from Black Friday but Costco often repeats sales so it might come back

Yeah CyberpowerPC 13600K, RTX 3070Ti, 240mm AIO, 16GB DDR5 6000mhz RAM, 2TB gen4 NVME, Eclipse High Air Flow case - $1279 - 9 days ago

upgraded to i7 13700k/RTX 3080 was $1661 which is cheaper than this lenovo.
