AtGames Legends Ultimate Mini Home Arcade
Item # 980411412|Model # HA8811D

Sams Club
Regular Price: $449.98

Current Discounted Options:

1) Shipping to home - $399.98 (plus $15-20 shipping)

2) Pickup at Store (if available) - $299.98 (plus $4 pickup fee) - YMMV - Price Club Specific

Note: Plus members will get free shipping (option 1) and no pickup fee (option 2).

This may not be available at all local stores. If it is available, then the best deal is to pick this up at the local Sams Club.

This is the "Mini" version, rather than the full size version of their home arcade.

I haven't seen this listed for $299 before, but I'm personally wanting the full size version. For those looking for the "Mini" version, this looks like a good deal.

As a comparison, Atgames is currently running a sale on their website, and this is listed as $349.99 plus $75 shipping.

Although this is a solid deal on this unit, one issue to be aware of that doesn't get enough attention is that most Atgames units across the board have a slight sound delay (firmware can be a factor). I noticed it on my Legends Gamer Mini and started researching it to see if I had a fault unity and I found out that a lot of people have these issues regardless of whether it's the ALU or Legends Core.

I was really surprised how none of the reviews I've seen on YouTube ever mentioned this sound delay issue, so I just wanted to give a fair warning for anyone who is considering Atgames units.
As of a November hack, this will play every game from Atari through Playstation 1 (some PS1 and N64 games are slow).

Join the FB group Awesome Sauce, dedicated to the "onesauce" software, and get a 1 or 2 TB SSD, plug it in for over 64,000 games, including every game on an A1UP cabinet, except Blitz.

No firmware updates, no "have to be online" scams, it just works and will work forever on the current firmware.
Put it in the kitchen, your wife will love it. 😐😂

Logging in is only required to play their online multiplayer games. Like any good modern console, you can now play your games offline without ever connecting to their servers.

It was OBNOXIOUS that we ever had to do so, but the new hack gives us all the games with just one login (to upgrade once to current firmware), but I'm never logging in again.
So are you on the latest 5.68 firmware, everything working ok with no issues on latest firmware?

No loggin requirements is nice Smilie. I have a gamer pro and also almost done downloading OneSauce,(about 75% done)...I've also used CoinopsX on latest firmware, but the preview videos still play for a few seconds after you start a game...but games play fine.

Another good option on these Legends Arcades is the ability to stream to your own personal local PC on the network, to play more advanced games like Steam library, or Coinops on a fast PC for PS2/Gamecube,Dreamcst, and newer Arcade Naomi Atomiswave games, NFL Blitz, Ridge Racer, etc... So many options on the Atgames stuff.

I'm very interesting in the full size version. Does anyone know if these save high scores? It's a critical issue for me.

What the heck's a "pickup fee"?? They actually charge you to go into the store now and get items in person???

Another option is purchasing just the joystick for about $50, and a pedestal for about $70 + $30 shipping. I have that exact setup, and the TV is on a stand that's hung vertically, which is crazy fun at 55" playing Donkey Kong, Commando, 1942, etc. My way really only makes sense if you have a spare TV and have a good place to put it. For me, I have a built-in cabinet that could only fit about a 40" TV horizontally, so it made sense to maximize by putting a TV on a stand vertically. This probably applies to only 1% of the SD audience, but I can tell you it's even more fun than the five Arcade1up's I have, and the AtGames Legends Pro (2-player) I have sitting on a bar in front of a TV.

Why pay $300 for an arcade1up with 1 game when you can spend $500 on a legends ultimate and have thousands of games?
I addressed that

I have the wireless version with 2 players, loaded a slow ass USB stick with tons of games I haven't noticed sounds issues except work old midway games like NBA jam etc

Why not Blitz?
Technically this won't play gun games well since it lacks a gun also. But Blitz emulation is too slow on the chip in this system. You can run Blitz on a Pi connected to this cabinet, which still requires no hacking about about 1 hour of setup if you know what you're doing.

The chip that runs this doesn't do polygons well (which is why many PS1 and N64 games are slow or don't run).

No, Rock64. But you can plug a Pi (or Android) device into the HDMI port and connect via Bluetooth. To do this, you have to spend an extra 40 seconds or so upon boot to connect to the external device. Not a dealbreaker for me, but at this time it doesn't load directly into an external device.

Can you share your setup? Looking to do something similar.
