Can I use this to wrap around my extension cords outside I use for christmas decorations. They get wet trip the GFS when ever it rains.

I suggest rescue/self-adhering silicone tape for that. Electrical tape could make things worse by trapping the water.

If you are talking about open sockets in the extension cord then you are better off using those child proof covers and then maybe tape over them. Probably the tape is not even needed

I have extension cords that have the covers for the plugs so that's not the issue it's just where I plug in the reindeer and the snowman and Santa I'm trying to wrap up those outlets
