We did that 7 weeks ago. Unfortunately, a full moon was approaching and everyone got kicked out by park rangers mid-gaze because a storm was forming on the other side of the volcano that was going to ice over the one road to come in/out. Tours were canceled for the remaining week. So YMMV.

Didn't like the lights. They are too light to be pointed straight to the ground. Basically your raindrops will go to the left, right, anywhere unless you tie them up to something straight. Doesn't look nice.
