I have 2 pieces of cardio equipment, a stationary bike and a treadmill, I have not had to use it on either, but I'm a "better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it," kind of mentality. And @ $16, sounds like a no brainer, especially with a review that I read that said they had to replace the same part twice in a 6 month period.

Might I suggest a good recumbent exercise bike instead?

I've had that Sunny one for around 8 years now or possibly it's predecessor. It looks the same and has the same specs. It's held up great even with it in the garage. It's been used around 2x a week. We have a small tv on the wall in front of it and just throw YouTube rowing workouts on it.
