I don't need an adapter that looks like a hot dog. Just make a square one with the same volume Anker.

Anker own Eufy. Eufy was caught spying on users and lying about it.

LTT lied. Eufy never promised "local storage only," that Linus keeps claiming. They promised local storage which is the case. Thumbnails get sent to the cloud for notifications and video is redirected through their servers for access over Internet, both of which are fairly standard practices for providing these features. Linus alludes to other methods for direct connection, but does not report the drawbacks - especially it's incompatibility with certain network configurations. One area that should be fixed is encryption of the packets the device sends to AWS (again Linus appears to be paid or has has a bone to to pick, as he suggest nefarious reasons). Encryption is necessary in this case to avoid 3rd parties from reading the packet while on route to AWS and getting access to the transmitted data.

Gonna guess they can't spy on us with a charger.

But yes, screw them also for lying about the security to their customers.
That's what you think. A researcher has perfected a method to read wifi waves and radio wave emissions to map out a room and the people inside.

Hopefully not, but you know the charger is also connected to a data port.

When using both ports at the same time, the USB-C port has a max output of 45W, while the USB-A port has a max output of 18W.

Dumb question this can't replace a dell latitude 7420 with usb c power cord can it?
Yup, it should work as long as nothing is plugged into the A port as this does provide the same 65 watts that the Dell OEM does

Thanks what happens if I charge an iPhone on the a port simultaneously? It's just slower charge or it doesn't charge at all or any harms?

People only think this is a good deal because it's an Anker. Plenty of similar chargers on Amazon for same or less money. SD crowd has way overhyped Anker. It's not any better than most brands out there. I have bought many PD chargers over the years including Anker. The only one that has failed has been an Anker. Not saying Anker is bad, but just saying the chance of it failing is the same with any other charger out there so why pay the premium.
anyone can just type stuff, what would be very helpful is if you post 2-3 deals that you think are better.

in should in theory, how long it will last is a different story. most of the wall plug in, small factor are designed for charging small things quickly. continuous or very large load (0 to 80% laptop) my overhead the system and cause it to fail faster. that is why the laptop power supply are large, parts are not stacked into a cluster giving them room to dissipate heat.

Hmmmm is there a good alternative weight and size wise to the original laptop charger for the typical dell latitude? Asking this for minimalist travel purpose.

a real alternative would be a charger that is designed for a laptop. but if you want to use the one in this deal, you could. Just check on it every 10min or so, if it gets too hot unplug and let it cool, repeat the cycle until laptop is changed.

The Aukey version of this is smaller, costs about the same, and is made in the same shenzen factory block as Anker uses.
