It's $40 cheaper to get the drone by itself and the fly more kit separate unless I'm missing something? I mean the warranty changes from 2-year to a 1-year but that doesn't seem so bad if I've never heard of the warranty brand haha.

Although it may be $41 -15% cheaper to buy separately, I think the bundle also gets you an additional year of "extended protection".

In for one. I see the combo at $1229 and bought separately at $1098 pre coupon.

Went separately for around $110 less with coupon, pretax. VR headset / 64GB card / 1 extra year warranty not worth it imo.

Wish they had the Plus Battery kit.

Does anyone know if the Mini 3 would have avoided the tree my dumb friend flew into when I let him fly my Mini 2 (no crash avoidance). Branches (vs solid objects) may confuse the sensors?

I haven't tested specifically because I don't want to crash it, but from what I can tell (like on dc rainmaker's videos) yes the mini 3 pro will absolutely detect trees

Does this need to be activated/registered online before use? Are there real-time manufacturer-imposed restrictions on its flight? Looking to buy one and I remember reading about the Mini 2 needing permission from the cloud (no pun intended). If so, any other quadcopters recommended? Thanks
