I've just been getting these off of eBay for about $20-25. It's easy to tell if it's genuine in Settings->About (scroll down to the bottom) -> MagSafe. If it's fake, then initiate a refund on eBay.

Phone throttles magsafe charging if temps go up. Personally my iPhone 13 pro max is at 95% battery health using almost entirely magsafe charging over last year. My wife iPhone 13 pro max is at 92% battery health using standard 12W slow lighting charger. They both charge at nearly the same slow speed and both have nearly the same degradation.

the worst part is they made phones super heavier just to be able to do this wireless charging. big metal rings in there as i understand it. so long elastic waistband shorts. you are missed.

yeah i got the last one at my local store. Honestly they were hard to find and the checkout process was kinda annoying in store

i ordered 4 from ATTs website and all 4 were delivered - great christmas gifts!

NOTE: do not connect the magsafe directly to the a mac permanently - as it will prevent the mac from sleeping. connect to mac occasionally for firmware update - but otherwise leave it connected to a wall wart.

These might charge at a higher rate than generics. Check the specs.

Other than that, yah, it's expensive for what it is, the cord is somehow either too short or too long, and it's hardwired so it'll eventually tear which is dumb as hell since it's USB-C.

So basically, apple.

But it's still the good price for the exact item.
