So it appear that you need to have 5G phone service with Verizon to get this deal.

Better to stay at Tmobile with cheaper unlimited plan TMobile offers.

I talked to a sales rep. and said I dont need the 5G svc. and she said she can offer me the same plan but without 5G it would be $30 a month with free install & setup. Call them or try over chat.

you can get this same deal without the 5G phone svc. for $30 a month. I just signed up my parents for it.

After multiple tries, I'll just give up. $25 or even $30 is not possible for me...they kept saying the same thing over and over... I have to have the phone plan for the home internet to be a deal. I asked for supervisor they said supervisor wouldn't be able to do anything... And wouldn't transfer me over...
Every chat pulls that BS, I say I understand, but I'd still like to speak with them. And nearly every time they're able to do something.

In this case as soon as I mentioned Xfinity was offering 400M for $30 and I was going to switch to them, please schedule my disconnect for the end of my billing cycle, they transferred me to a supervisor without me even asking. He just applied a $10 monthly credit to my account that says "no expiration" to bring it down.

According to the chat agent I talked to:

Assuming the agent wasn't just bullshitting with me, the $29.99 promo is not available for customers in Massachusetts. I think the few of you who got the rate from a supervisor are actually getting a credit on your existing plan so its not the same thing.
There was at least one new user that signed up in MA completely online and got that rate.

I believe it may be keyed off whether the actual address has had service in the last 6 months. It says "household" but I have a feeling that means "address".

The special is very clearly stated right on the specials page after you put in a Massachusetts zip code, so you have valid argument for the supervisor. However the fine print does have some contradicting and confusing info around dates, whether you need wireless, 180 days with no service, etc. But he didn't hesitate to give me the rate....

sounds like theTMO HSI deal might be your alternative

Meanwhile my apartment forces me to use their internet provider aka Spectrum community ~300mbps for $90/month. SMH, wish Govt could do something about this...
even the $29.99 offer requires a mobile plan (if you noticed their fine-print i) - I think folks got lucky with some reps not paying attention

I am located in Southeastern Massachusetts

Currently have 300/300 internet for $49.99, less $10 paperless discount. So, $39.99/mo.

I don't have a Verizon mobile plan. Fios tv/internet customer for 10+ years.

Struck out yesterday via chat. Tried again this morning.

Stated that Xfinity was offering $29.99 for 400/400. Asked for $29.99 for my 300/300.

CSR offered an additional $10 monthly discount plus a $200 gift card.

Did not need to ask for supervisor.

Total luck of the draw getting amenable CSR, I'm sure.

Don't give up, keep trying !

Well, even with normal/regular Spectrum plan which costs only $40 for 1GB. But since I am already paying $90, I dont really wanna pay extra haha. Also, I am not sure if my apt does have another cable service installed.

Same experience with two different chat sessions and even after excruciating transfer to a chat supervisor but both would not apply the $10 permanent monthly discount to match new Fios/ Verizon Wireless $25 per month pricing.

Called FIOS CSR and in the IVR mentioned "Disconnect" which sent me directly to the Retentions team and requested him to put a $10 permanent monthly service discount to match TMHI/ Xfinity pricing which he did, lowering what I pay to $24.99.

For reference I'm an existing FIOS customer (300mbps) in NYC paying $34.99 currently after a $5 educators/ first responder discount and DO NOT Verizon Wireless service.

If you don't have the $5 per month educators/ first responder discount, you can try to get the retentions rep to apply a $15 permanent monthly service discount but just be aware that they may be limited to a maximum of $10 permanent monthly service discount meaning your lowest would be $29.99 monthly.

Just spoke with a chat rep, they said I have to cancel my current account and sign up for a new account. They were in the middle of doing this (they canceled my current account) then I got disconnected. Going to give it a bit in case they try to call me but I guess I'll just sign up for a new account in a few minutes if not.
I spoke with a rep, told me they can honor this deal. I didn't go with it because my family plan will be considerably more expensive

I live in suburbs of Boston and got the postcard advertising 300/300 for $30/mo. I just signed up the $30 rate. Tried to sign up my relative's in the same town to no avail.

Do you live within or outside of Boston? I live within Boston and I have only gotten the flyer for $25/month if you bundle with Verizon wireless.

Yes myself and at least one other in this thread. I didn't have any luck until I mentioned switching to Xfinity 400 meg for $29.99 and they transferred me to a supervisor.
Lucky for you and the other guy. I went through 2 different chat agents and mentioned the Xfinity $29.99 which is true for me. But, they said they couldn't do anything as the Mix & Match is not available for my area and they couldn't override the system's pricing (maybe BS).

It's definitely not true for all of MA. I live in MA and had FIOS installed yesterday.

The offer (for me at least) was $29.99 for 10 years for 300 Mbps plan, I don't have Verizon cell phone service. It was an offer straight from the website, I didn't jump through any hoops.

Did about 12 chats... couldn't get it. They said there is a fine print which is true, it's there, saying that I need a phone plan for that price...I ended up being offer a trial for 30 days free of charge...I guess I'll try it out to see how good it is first.
