MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE THE AUTO-RENEW IF YOU PAY WITH PAYPAL. I just got suckered into renewing for 1-year at $100... WTF

I am now fighting their support to get a refund or match a deal like this for $25/2 years/5 devices or I am asking for a 100% refund and then I'll just buy on NewEgg again.

Its in your PayPal account settings:

Click on your Name in the upper right
Click Account Settings
Click Money, Banks, Cards
Click Manage Automatic Payments
Show Active will be the default. Look fo r "Avangate, Inc." and cancel it before they get you, too.

I found there was a few merchants in the list that really shouldn't have been. Ugh.

UPDATE: I WON! I got a 100% refund. They initially offered a 60% refund and a 1 year plan or 0% refund and tack-on of 6 months. Either one is WAY more expensive than this deal. I told them I wanted 100% or match this deal and they promptly refunded me.

Yep in the user interface you can activate a new subscription code on top of an existing one.
In the past this was a big run around but they fixed it.
I have been using This antivirus since Kasperski was on the do not fly list and have been very happy. It's light weight and very easy on resources.

Years ago I used to use both bitdefender and Malwarebytes, is bitdefender enough these days without MB? Don't mind having both and MB is good a certain things.

Newegg is great until you have a problem. Customer service is generally terrible, a quick search online will tell you horror stories. Treat it like a garage sale and you'll be fine, everything is sold as-is.

I use Defender for virus protection and Spybot S&D (free version) for malware. It feels nice to not have to spend a penny at all for protection.

Was disappointed to learn recently that this appears to be the case. They used to be great years ago. I'll hardly ever use them again unless it's for something like downloadable software where customer service or returns most likely won't come into play.

Just a note that Bitdefender doesn't even allow itself to be installed on systems running some child surf-monitor safety software. When you contact BD about it their solution is "uninstall the other software." Their own surf monitor safety solution is utter garbage. It's a shame because their A/V has high marks.
