However, the item I ordered dropped in price and Amazon won't adjust the original order.
If I cancel the first order, does anyone know if the promo code will be restored for my account so I can use it on a new order?
I hope it gets here in time to use this promo (& that I actually have the offer w/my amazon acct).
I had been getting nonstop (snail)mail from Discover (saying I'm "pre-approved" or whatever ) for quite a while now — usually I just toss them out, but for some reason I thought "ehhhh why not finally apply & see what happens..."
Long story longer, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a $6K credit line (which is now my second-highest card limit by $1k...As I was approved for a target cc about a month back for a $7k limit...& that limit was also an awesome/unexpected surprised!)...
The APR for my Discover card is nearly half the amount of just about all my other cards! (Not to mention no interest for 15 months & the double cash-back!)
Any tips/feedback from those of you that have Discover cards?
I want to guess the 5% cash-back is only for certain stores/categories, & not for ALL purchases?
The card I've, by far, used most over the years is my PayPal MasterCard (mainly for the 2% CB on ALL purchases) — but by the sound of it, I feel this new cc is going to replace my beloved PPMC as my primary cc)
Thanks in advance for any/all Discover card advice/perks you might know of to share with me
(Welll, That is—*IF* anyone actually even made it this far down, lol)

Try to take advantage of that. I didn't think about getting gift cards my first year, but that would be a good way to maximize. You only have about a week left for this quarter though...
Discover also has good bonuses for redeeming gift cards using points. I pretty much exclusively use them on bath and body works gift cards at 20-25% off and then go shopping during the sales.
Says I'm eligible, added my discover card last week but won't take $10 off. Oh well not worth my time
