Gears Tactics: Critics 80 users 7.8
- Post-alien-invasion setting, turn-based tactics meant to be hyper-aggressive.
Red Solstice 2: Survivors: Critics 65 users5.8
- Zombie apocalypse setting. Presents as and plays like an RTS but with so few characters that it seems like it should be an ARPG instead. Apparently much better as a multiplayer game.
Dark Deity: Critics 80 users 5.5
- Medieval/fantasy setting, turn-based tactical RPG. Basically a third-party Fire Emblem but they took the RPG elements and class system a lot further.
Star Renegades: 77/6.2
- future/space-fantasy setting. Looks like a turn-based RPG (i.e. the old Final Fantasy games) but with the 'exploring' layer being a broader strategy game.
John Wick Hex: 74/4.5
- Recreation of the John Wick movies for setting. Imagine the crazy action scenes, but you plan each action individually -- i.e. at this moment do I punch, kick, shove, shoot, pick up prop, etc. An action game that's paused every second so you can decide what the next immediate action should be.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus: 78/8.1
- Warhammer 40k universe. Probably the best XCOM-like game that isn't XCOM (turn-based squad tactics)
Phantom Doctrine: 73/7.4
- Alt history Cold War setting. XCOM but stealth (and no RNG) and not vs aliens.
Hard West: 73/7.3
- Old Western versus forces of Hell. Another XCOM-like.
