FYI, this is not a traditional 3x3 rubiks cube with a wild design. You can only turn the 3 platforms and the goal is to get a tiny bearing around an interior track. Still cool though! Watch the product video on Amazon.

It looks like the 2x2 hybrid is also on sale ($9.97) which brough up my total to just above $20. Finally got used my Chase Ultimate Rewards 50% off (max $10) on Amazon. Thanks OP!

They usually don't, but I would just get on chat asap to ask. They sometimes give credit. If it doesn't work out, re-buy before the price changes and return on old receipt at you leisure.

As a child, I also struggled with coming up with a solution for all six faces on my own for the original cube. After a couple of years of trying, I found the instructions on how to solve it and then BAM!, I lost interest in it just like how a magic trick loses all the intrigue once you know how it was done. Still would gift the original to 5-11 year olds -- it is good for their pattern recognition skills.

I just look up guides online. After you memorize the step-by-step instructions on how to solve, you can easily impress you friends and family during holidays.

I don't know why they call it Rubik's cube. This only rotates from one side. The other side is permanently static. Love the engineering behind this but will pass due to partial rotation and quality

I spent 2 weeks figuring it out last year. Once you get it, it's literally memorization/muscle memory
