The Good: : The price is fair. It's IPS, which gives superior viewing angles compared to TN panels. It also appears to have a VESA mount.
The Bad: The price could be better for what little you're getting. For a little bit more, you can get better monitors on sale. A budget of $150 can get 27" IPS panels with 2560x1400 resolution, or maybe something that's 16:10 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio is 16:9 (1920x1080), whereas 16:10 is 1920x1200. Personally I won't touch a monitor that's less than 1200 vertical, as 90% of what we do is vertically oriented (documents, websites, etc). Also, it's very limited on ports -- just 1 HDMI. And no height/rotation adjustment with the stand (basic stand).
The Ugly: You know, I can't find anything catastrophically bad with this display.
Bottom line: It's not bad, but it's not great. If this was sub $60, then it'd be more appealing.

I totally agree that there are better value arguments to be made for more expensive monitors.

And 50% more is $135, not $150. Since we're being obnoxious about such small sums of money for a tool you're looking at ALL DAY EVERY DAY, might as well call that nonsense out too.
If it's a secondary screen/for a non-discerning user (like a child), this is probably fine. Otherwise, think real hard about cheaping out on the things you use all the time.
And 50% more is $135, not $150. Since we're being obnoxious about such small sums of money for a tool you're looking at ALL DAY EVERY DAY, might as well call that nonsense out too.

And PS: just because something costs more doesn't mean it's better, but if you think so, by all means enjoy your Ferrari and it's $500 oil changes, my Chevy with it's $30 oil changes will get me to the grocery store just fine
It's an average monitor. 4.6 score with over 2,100 reviews.
Main issue according to the spec sheet is that it doesn't get all that bright. Which is fine for reading. Brightness matters most when you're going outdoors or watching movies.
In other words it's perfectly fine for office work, homework, paying your bills, and everyday internet use. It's all right for gaming.
It's not a gaming focused monitor. It's not an art focused monitor. It's not a movie focused monitor. Those all cost more. Even one built to be the best office monitor it can be is going to cost more because of the nicer stand and USB ports.
It's a cheap plain boring everyday monitor at what would have been a good deal pre-Covid and is a great deal today.
Monitors seem to be something a lot of non-experts feel they can pretend to be knowledgeable about without even doing the most basic research. They even got the number reports wrong on this one, it has both HDMI and VGA. Pretty typical.

This is a cheap but solid basic screen. 72% NTSC color gamut, 250 lumens, 75hz, IPS, standard 1080p. It'll last 10 or or more years.
Sure, there are better. Someone really into gaming would want to buy a gaming monitor. Someone really into productivity might want to drop $500 on a solid 43-in. And so on.
But for most people working in an office or doing email and bills online with maybe some Facebook mixed in or some homework, this is just fine.
Most people probably have more important things to spend $60 on that an extra 120 lines of resolution.
This isn't a "buy cheap buy twice" thing. Because the practical difference between it and spending twice as much money is minor for most tasks and the longevity is about the same.
There really isn't a practical difference between Facebook on this and Facebook on a $900 OLED.
Jesus dude, you didn't even catch that it's only 250 lumens. You didn't do the most basic research. You just shoot your mouth off trying to make yourself feel important. Oh, it has VGA plus HDMI. Not just HDMI. You didn't even get that part right.
