$45 for the next 18 months with no interest?
Sure, why not? Had a gift card to use too. Merry Christmas to me! My 14 year old will be very happy to "borrow" this too! Since it's on her wish list πŸ˜‚
Anyone know of any good, affordable editing programs that I can use with this camera?

Photopea is a photoshop clone that's free online and works in the browser. Many of the same tools and similar interface.

The kit lens is f4.5-6.3..... if this camera is a must have, better off get body only and then get a better RF lens. Or skip to RP full frame....

Canon USA has body for 879. Has anyone successfully stack loyalty upgrade discount on it? I tried a few weeks ago and the rep said this model
is too new to have loyalty discount.

Body only is currently 879.99. One could buy this kit and resell the lens for 150ish. This would get the cost of the body only into the 750~800 range.

Don't know who would spend $150 for that lens .... The RF 50mm F1.8 is $150....

I've been out of photography hobby for a while, but there is rarely a case for not getting the kit lens in a discounted deal. It would be penny wise, pound foolish:
  • Kit lenses add very little to the price in a bundle deal.
  • Kit lenses are good enough for many uses and many users.
  • You can always resell the kit lens to subsidize a lens upgrade.
  • You can keep the kit to simplify a future camera resale when you are ready to upgrade the body.

Wish they had a bigger discount on the R10 18-150 kit which fits the one lens for most uses category.

Correct, got the same answer. No loyalty discounts yet Frown.

Probably not until mid 2023 I would think.

No R series camera can beat performance/portability of M series and lens collection Today. I bought RP and M6 Mark ii Cyber Monday sale... returned RP as it was banged up and bad pixels in evf and screen...
M6 Mark ii was brand new 0 shuTter count and awesome portability

EF-Ms biggest issue is the lack of a good standard zoom lens. The 15-45 is slow and one of my copies was soft, the other is "better" but still not great.

I love my 11-22 though.

If Canon had released a 16-50 F4 or something that was actually sharp, it would be near perfect.
