Isn't Scott 1000 the sandpaper like substance found in public restrooms?
Yes, pretty thin, but you get a lot more on a roll in feet. Plus, if you have a septic system, it would be easier for it to break down.

How did you come up with $50k? My estimate is about $17k to $20k before the shop card assuming a standard 16 pallet box truck is used and your local Costco TP cost. Estimated that each pallet can hold about 63 36 packs. So a truckload is 1008 packages or 36,288 rolls (nearly 40M sheets). It's a few month supply for a busy 100 room hotel.
16? That doesn't make sense at all... A trailer holds 22-26 pallets...
Depending on if it's 48' or 53' trailer... N if the load is pinwhelled or not .

Pretty sure if you're buying a truck load of toilet paper from Costco, spending $1700 there is not an issue.

Also, considering my Costco bills average roughly $500 per month usually on groceries, I would not have an issue and I'm not unique here.

Amazon and Walmart, I don't think I've spent $1700 total between the two in the last two years.
Costco shopcards often sell for FV or above. Apparently it's a thing that people who don't want to spend $$ on a membership will instead just buy shopcards.

I've bought a pallet's worth of the cheaper public bathroom TP, forgot the brand but it's one of the Koch Bros companies. It's an old, old deal because I still remember that Yahoo Search was still relevant to find out the maker of the brand. Was on a once in a blue moon 4-for-3??? boxes deal + staples coupon codes during the FW vs SD years. I suggest no one do this unless you can personally factor that $1700 costco card good as cash and the remaining amount makes the cost/sq inch worth it compared to recent TP deals.
Family will have alot of TP usage waste, as much as the a**holes at a bbq/party who throws away the half empty beer bottle/can because it's not cold anymore.
edit: it's either staples/office depot/office max. I can only remember it's one of those office supply companies

I swear my wife literally eats toilet papers, but... I'd be willing to split this with someone else.

I use it at home. Been using it for as long as I can remember. Gets the job done. I started using it because Consumer Reports said it was the brand least likely to cause a clog in the line. Only bad thing I can say about it is it doesn't have perforated sheets, so sometime you will go to yank off some and unroll three feet.

???

This is all we have used for many years, the stuff we buy has always had the perforations between sheets.

If it wasn't perforated, it wouldn't be "sheets".
