I've tried using off-brand stuff but there really is no substitution for DJI quality.

The RSC has a payload of 6.6 pounds while the RS has 10

Yeah, Amazon does this too. I always put the model if reviewing when there are several variants.
The Pro Combo adds the RavenEye image transmitter, a $160 module if bought separately and the Focus motor.
The RavenEyes transmit a HDMI signal wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet using the DJI Ronin App and allows you to control your camera and the gimbal remotely via WiFi, up to 200 meters away. As a bonus It can record any HDMI signal to your phone although highly compressed and no audio
The Focus Motor allows you to control the focus barrel on your lens (good for manual focus lenses) or the lens zoom barrel.
I need both so is worth it.

I hated DJI Ronin SC because they stupidly design the handle as battery, so when I need to change battery, I have to remove the tripod, also there is no charger for the battery, so I have to always have to use the gimble to charge it and can't plug all of them in to charge it, the release handle is also horrible, there is no safety lock to that one time I almost have my whole setup dropped due to the release being loose. DJI do have flaws for their products too.
I recently got the RS3 (which is actually the updated RSC 2, the smaller model) and think the auto-locking is incredibly convenient. The equivalent follow-up to the model in this deal is called RS3 Pro.

For me, absolutely. If it's out of your budget, I'd say get the one you can afford. But if you can afford it? I'd absolutely spend a bit more on that feature if given the choice between new and old models.

Thanks for the quick response, will save for the 3!
I paid $300 for the SC2 Pro combo used, but going to return it to buy this S2. I realized I needed the higher payload, room for bigger lens, removable battery and the integrated Active track, seals the deal..
Thanks! I'm trying to find a comparison of the RS 2 vs RSC 2, but you may have given me enough with that.
Confirming RS 2 advantages;
Removable battery vs needing to charge the whole grip?
Higher payload of 10lbs vs 6.6.
Integrated active track(?) Don't they both have that(?)
RavenEye Transmitter… with both, yes? (That's the 1080p transmitter they're referring to?)
The S2 has a larger screen that can do Active Track without connecting the smartphone , so is much convenient.
Only the combos have the RavenEye.
