I just purchased and installed the 12x8 version of this shed 2 months ago (same price). Delivery sucked, but I am sure it is location dependent. The guy I got was literally just a guy in a pick up truck with a 5x10 flatbed trailer. Couldnt/Wouldnt drop it in my backyard and would only drop it in my driveway. Spent the first hour just carrying the whole shed around my house piece by piece.

Please be aware, did have to spend about another $600 in extra materials on top of the shed price. 8 bags of gravel, 8 concrete blocks, masonry string, stakes, 2 4x4x12s, simpson ties, 1 roll tar paper, 6 bundles of shingles, 6 10' sections of drip edge, 4 tubes of sealant, 2 cans of paint. Also rented a cordless dewalt framing gun from HD for $80 (2 days), as driving 1200+ nails with a hammer sucks.

All together final cost was about $2400 by time all was said and done. Took me 2 days for foundation, 3 full days to build it solo and 1 day to caulk & paint.

Here are the instructions if you want to view before you buy

Got this a few years ago for $1,000 before COVID/inflation.

Very difficult to put together, I ended up having to buy another ~$150 of lumber and roofing to finish it off. Nails that came with it was subpar.
Tried to return it and got a $150 refund check from manufacturer to keep it.

Not worth it at $1,000, definitely not worth it at $1,500.
They must love it at HD when you walk in..
If you want to build it yourself from lumber, then start with buying a saw...

Can vouch for this -- bought it last spring, was definitely a big effort to get it built but all the pieces were there and cut properly. We added roof shingles and are still trying to figure out if we want to fancy-up the interior or leave it raw

How's the "floor kit"? What kind of prep did you do for it (i.e. cement pad, gravel, etc)?

I made a gravel pad, pretty simple, shed sits right on top of it no problem

Wow, times have changed.

Bought my 12'x10' about 9 years ago, installed for $1999 from Costco.

This looks like a good deal though.

I built a larger shed from HD years ago that I got a deal on. If I had it to do again I probably would just use one of the plans that you can find buy the lumber and other parts myself. Basically a truck comes and drops a strapped pile of lumber in your driveway. Some advantage to having various pieces cut but not that huge. If you're capable of building it, then you're capable of making the required cuts and you can minimize things with a good plan.

If I remember right, first 5 cuts free, .25 each after. Their equipment can be accurate, but their policy says can vary up to half an inch on each cut. No miters or angle cuts.

You would be hard pressed to get all the parts from big store for the same price. Not to mention all the work to order all the pieces and double check. It adds several hours to the build easy- assuming all the parts are in stock and arrive in time.

Ignoring wear on all the saw blades, accidental bad cuts, etc
