Damn, how many of these does woot have? They have been trying to get rid of these for years. Nothing beats that $144 deal they had last year.
They're awful Gen 1 design devices. Microsoft tried to beat everyone to the game in the foldable market by releasing this "tablet" as a phone.
We're a Microsoft tech partner and received a bunch of sample units for consideration after launch day. They're too wide for phone use (it will not fit in any pocket other than this biggest of cargo pants...they even sell a 'purse' type case for them), the hinge dividing the screen is awkward, it's not the lightest thing in the world, the battery life is so-so, and performance with more things open is "meh." Had to chuckle a bit that they're now calling these things tablets.
Samsung crushed it on the foldable seamless design, but even the thickness of those devices has a long way to go.
They really need to just cut the price and get rid of them. I got the unlocked 256gb version for $299 last time, and returned it after playing with it a bit.
Fun stuff, but at $299 it's just too expensive as a toy that sometimes doesn't work. I know a fire sale of $99/149 probably will never happen, but at that price these things are then a lot more viable.
This works well for me as an everyday device. Won't be able to go back to a regular phone. (I dont take many pictures..if i did, I would not get this phone). As an everyday business phone, it works extremely well for me.
