I'm not sure what they are referring to. The only scandal-ish I've ever heard about Humble is (on occasion) you can buy a bundle and if you wait too long to redeem a code there has been times where Humble ran out of keys....but they replenished them later and notified affected customers at every step of the way. I think this is far from the norm and is never an issue if you claim your keys right away (you don't have to activate them, just claim on the Humble website).

Or like you said they are confused with this Ubisoft situation or the recent event where some Epic games disappeared briefly. But with Epic that seemed to be a system glitch.

Regardless, once you redeem a key on Steam, Humble can't hack Steam's servers to take back your game
This is better than their monthly lol
It feels about $10 too high for a bundle.

FYI, High on Life coming off Gamepass this month in a week I think.

How was MW5? I've got MechWarrior nostalgia from MW3 and MW4, but I've never played MW5.

Is Humble bundle still disappearing games from your library after you've paid for them? Don't think I'll ever buy from them again after reading about that!

Are you thinking of Ubisoft? They took the Crew game away from people since it was online only and they were taking the servers down.

Closest I can think of is this, where they can indeed take back your game, no hacking required. But... [humblebundle.com]

I liked high on life, not the best game ever or anything, but I found it to be a fun game with some interesting mechanics.

I've played MechWarrior since 2 on DOS. Short answer is I like it. Steam mods and DLC add a lot of content on base game after you do the story and the generated filler missions get stale. If you're only buying the bundle for MW5, you could probably get it and the majority of the DLC for cheaper elsewhere.

My main complaint with the game is that they do their DLC bundling weird, similar to on-disk DLCs from yore. That means mods break on DLC release, since everyone technically has the content, it just can't be accessed. Campaign content is also locked to what DLCs you have when you START the campaign, so if you buy something new you have to import your campaign and restart on year 1 essentially. Some DLCs have to be done by a certain year of the campaign and hijack your nav til they are over, but there are mods that fix this.

Piloting feels great, the weapons management is great, and the story content is alright. If you enjoyed 4 you'll enjoy 5 as well.

It's also over double the cost, triple if you're buying humble in yearly chunks.

Of course this is better than their monthly bundle, but it's $25. You can get an annual humble bundle pass for $100 at xmas time each year so that's like $8.25 a month
