I have this Wyze lock and a Nest Yale lock. My biggest issue with the Wyze is that it eats up battery so quickly. I get low battery notifications about every 3 weeks, whereas my Nest lock's battery last over 8 months easily.
Are you using rechargeables? They provide less voltage than alkaline (1.2v vs 1.5v) and since all battery monitors monitor voltage, you will get a "low battery" alert very quickly. Switch to Amazon or other cheap decent alkaline batteries and it'll solve the problem. I change mine less than once per year, though it's on a door we don't use often.

Anyone know if this is compatible with Kwikset Titan deadbolts? My inlaws have a Titan on their security screen door outside (covered so it shouldnt get wet, etc) and we want something that can unlock it via keypad

I have this for about 2 years now almost 3, the auto unlock has been hit or miss but it does work more than it doesn't for me. Battery life is fine with us lasted about 10 months or so for us. It's recommended not to use rechargeable batteries being the reason is they tend to be a much lower voltage usually 1.2v vs non reaching usually 1.5v which causes an issue and also reads out low battery state.

I'd like to see a V2 of this released that either supports rechargeable batteries better or just can have a rechargeable battery pack installed.

It does what I could ask and it's a good piece of mind knowing if I left the door unlocked when I leave the house.

I do know if you change the batteries out you need to wait a few minutes before the battery state will update. So if you have low battery and change it and still get this, you just have to wait a few minutes before trying again.

your normal thieves just kick down the door. much faster than finding vulnerabilities online and finding out which houses have Wyze locks
Locks don't keep thieves out anyhow, just the honest people.

Thieves go through the window.

Why don't they make this in other colors? 90s Sharp VCR silver doesn't go with any other hardware in my house.

What kind of batteries do you use? I had the same issue with a Kwikset. Absolutely destroyed alkalines in 3-4 weeks. NiMH in half the time. Walgreens had Energizer Lithium batteries on sale for 50% off, so I grabbed those and tried it and got at least 8 months out of them before we moved.

Yeah, I think the primary reason is to keep costs down. I got the Lock Bolt back in August, was a bittle bit of effort, but was able to remove the door-side dead bolt plate and replace it with a matte black one that was extra from an old Schlage lockset. I had to bore out the hole maybe 1mm with some sand paper. Looks great.

It'd be easy enough to just spray paint the Smart Lock, unless you've got polished brass/gold/chrome (a bit more finnicky).

This connects to Alexa. However, with my current lock, Alexa can only lock it. Can Alexa unlock this? Can I set it to a routine that "if garage door opens, then unlock the door?"

We've had the lock for over a year. Positives: multiple codes, notifications to the app, remote lock/unlock and history, auto-relock. Negatives: could not get the proximity feature (unlock when you approach) to work properly so gave up on it, and BATTERY LIFE IS POOR. It's a good idea to check the battery condition on the app regularly so it doesn't die while you are away and need it.

The lock, and gateway (connects to your WiFi network) and installation hardware. The keypad is separate.

This also uses your existing deadbolt, so no deadbolt is included.
Wait, uses existing deadbolt? How? And so it doesnt come with a deadbolt- whats that knob on it for then?
