Man i really want to order this since it's a decent price, but I got both the 9 and then the 10 and both were returned because both have absolutely terrible connectivity issues. Couldn't use the app and it was a complete nightmare. Tried with 4 different devices and it was the same on all. I've heard the newest ones still have these issues too, it's a shame because the cameras are great, but they're such a huge headache because of this and you lose 90% of the usability.

I just made the purchase with $40 off $200 from Amex.
Received the email this morning and added the FREE Enduro Battery offer to the deal. $174 after discount.

Yes, released 9/2020, but half the price of the 10 and 11.

i didn't see this clarified, but you have to pay $50 for the 1 year subscription to get the $200 discount? So it's really $250 for the camera?
It's $150 for the cam and then $50 for the sub with free battery . Just did it last night with the 10% off with chase.

Chase and PayPal have separate deals I believe. I'm not sure if they stack 🤔 . All I did was log onto chase and clicked the deal for 10% off on my CC . Max discount is $22.

Would this be a good camera to record our Pastor's 10 to 15 minute sermons during Sunday service? We sit in the front pew and the pulpit is no more than 10 feet away from that, so we don't need a ton of zoom.

I was thinking I could throw it on a small flex "clamp tripod" or the like.

If this wouldn't be good for this purpose, can you think of something that would work better for this purpose? Thanks.

It may be sufficient to record it in the Linear mode, but the mic quality is gonna be questionable

I haven't been getting those "Great news! You used an Amex Offer!" emails from Amex recently. I had another purchase where I received the credit but never received the email indicating that I used the offer. Has this changed with Amex?

Also for what it's worth I ordered last night and the 49.99 charge is pending this morning with the same merchant name of "GOPRO". However I did add accessories to get my purchase without the 49.99 over 200.

It might work but filming people with a wide angle lens isn't flattering and something people want to watch. There are plenty of point and shoots that you could throw on a tripod that would work better.

GoPro - A product you buy only to realize that no one, including yourself, wants to watch video footage of anything you do more than once and even that is too much. A corollary is that few of us do anything interesting enough to film anyway.
Speak for yourself. Sounds like you need to go out and touch some grass.

If you don't care about a used camcorder, the Sony HDR-CX380 [sony-asia.com] has external mic input, (No 4K) 1080p60 MPEG4-AVC/H.264, 30x optical Zoom and Optical IS.
Sometimes could be found under $100 on eBay.
With good lighting a 1080p recording from these Sony camcorders can looks as good if not better than 4K action cameras, especially on static scenes like you want to use it.

Couldn't resist this. Upgrading from a GoPro 5. Was really looking to get the 10, due to the new processor in it, but at this price point, it's worth the buy. Unfortunately didn't see the GoPro offer in my Chase account.

Is this good for live streaming compared to the sony as300 or fdr x3000? I heard the newest versions has something different where as the hero7/8 (or was it 8/9) that was the best model for live streaming longer hours.
