Man i really want to order this since it's a decent price, but I got both the 9 and then the 10 and both were returned because both have absolutely terrible connectivity issues. Couldn't use the app and it was a complete nightmare. Tried with 4 different devices and it was the same on all. I've heard the newest ones still have these issues too, it's a shame because the cameras are great, but they're such a huge headache because of this and you lose 90% of the usability.

Not delusional, car manufacturers will do something if a major component dies right outside the warranty, for reputational sake if nothing else. I had a head gasket leak after 5 years on a 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty with only 30k miles on the odometer. A known issue, and they paid 75% of the cost to replace. Owned it over a decade after that and no problem.

GoPro doesn't *have* to do anything legally, and the OP doesn't sound like he's looking for them to fall over themselves begging forgiveness while offering two free cameras in return. But blowing him off like they did is bad for business.

missed the coupon but still picked a cam with extra batt and 1 yr membership. Amex charged for 18 ONLY... hoping the membership hits the card son for the 40 back.

Hi GoPro gurus - would this be a good solution for recording kid soccer games? Ideally, I'd like to be able to capture the whole field without having to pan. If not, and there's something else out there that would be better, please let me know!

I spoke with AMEX and they said the subscription does not qualify for the reward so you may not get the $40 back

Have tried the 9 and the 10 and couldn't get either one to run more the 10-20 minutes without overheating and shutting down. Have used the 3, 4, and 5 as dash cams for years without any problems.
Very disappointed in the new ones. Finally gave up on them.

Totally agree. I've tried 3 different phones with my Hero 8 and none have worked. Just look at all of the reviews for the app on the store, it's really common. GoPro just doesn't seem to care. I think I'll be going with DJI or something else for my next action camera

Has anyone managed to cancel the GoPro subscription? Got charged for the main products but not the subscription, wonder if it's safe to cancel the subscription before the order ships.
