Anyone know if TPLink still limits users to 2 cameras before forcing you to get a subscription? I'd love to get another, but not for a monthly fee.

The price history for this is pretty interesting….been slowly and steadily marching down for years.

Personally I've decided to stop using TP-Link. I got some of their Tapo cameras and they fried the SD cards I purchased to use with them. When I contacted customer service, they said "oh, oops, you just so happened to buy the one specific model of SD card that these cameras don't support." I insisted that I read through the user manual before I set anything up, but nope, that's not enough…according to customer service, I was also supposed to look up a page on their website that outlines compatible SD cards, and (fairly recently) added that the specific model I bought isn't compatible. Literally just that one model.

No, I'll just stop supporting companies that cost me money because they fail to put critical usage information in their user manual.

What happens after the 2 years of cloud storage are up? Do you have to pay a subscription to see your videos? Is it possible to use local storage?

I have this model mounted on the ceiling of our garage, for Amazon key deliveries. It is by far the fastest to respond camera I have. Video comes up literally within 1 second of hitting the view button(everyone's setup is different but for me it's very responsive) I really like it and the picture quality is great. I really like the two day cloud storage as well. Plenty long enough to save a video to my phone if needed.

What's the difference between the one posted above and this one? Both are the same price but this one has local storage as well as RTSP/ONVIF support and is 2K as opposed to 1080p... Even though this one seems to be marketed as a baby monitor or pet cam, I don't see why this cant be used as a regular home security camera!

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see that someone already posted this link before me.
