That controller makes this whole thing so awkward and does not make sense at all. I even tried using a spare older phone (8 Plus) with it so that my phone is not occupied while I am flying this , it still did not make sense to use that controller yikes.

I actually prefer my screen above the controls, rather than below. Though, I use a tablet sometimes for a bigger/brighter screen.
SDK support for this drone is a huge plus, so I'm almost always flying with the Litchi app anyways.

Exactly. Provide an inbuilt quality screen with the controller, fix DJI app and call it a day. DJI already got cool hardware. Who want's to deal with third party apps/updates and connection issues/support, separate screens along with their chargers to bring along. Litchi doesn't fly the drone, controller does. The point is they are already charging us for app, controller.
Well, I'm going to ask the age old question and see if folks respond. I'm between the Air 2s and the Mini 3 Pro. In either case I plan to get the remove with a screen. With the sale on the Air 2s the cost is pretty close. Leaving out a lot of detail, my concerns with Air 2s is that its larger and louder. Am I over thinking being over 249g? If so, perhaps the benefits of the air 2s make that the winner.

for me it would be a no-brainer. mini 3 pro wins, for sure. loud is not a big deal until you are trying to fly steath but the mini 3 pro is super super quiet. in america, there's not a huge different between over and under 249g. the mini 3 pro is just newer and the air2s will probably see an air3 early next year.
Same price directly from dji, waiting for my paypal cashback card to arrive so i can get 3% back and no tax in nv
i hear you, i'm in one of those dji no tax states and it has saved me thousands (when using my 3% card, too). im so afraid starting next year that might change....because one day, like most online merchants, these guy will start to collect sales tax from every single state regardless. fingers crossed on jan 1.

I read the law and technically they are supposed to already be collecting sales tax in nv. In nv anyone remotely doing over 200 transactions or $100k in sales to nv customers is supposed to be collecting sales tax. So hopefully they just dont care and continue not collecting lol. I've decided to wait for mini 4 to come out as I like how quiet my mini 2 is compared to an air 2s. Mini 3 pro does vertical video but from comparison videos I've seen it isnt much of a step up from the 2. I dont care about the extra obstacle avoidance sensors either. I just want a better camera for low light.

Thanks. Can you tell me then why the minin3 pro over an air 2s, the specs of the air 2 are better in many ways if you aren't considering weight or sound

i have a tendency to focus on the top drones in each category from dji and it seems to me the mavic 3 is the flagship (with the air2s coming in 2nd) and the mini3 pro in the sub-250 cat. disclosure i have the mini3p and the mavic3; i do not have the air2s but i HAD the air2 but was not impressed. perhaps it's neither here nor there depending on other factors besides just the raw specs.
