I'm not shitting on the deal as I get the convenience of it, but I just wanted to share how easy making teriyaki marinade is.

Mix equal parts brown sugar and low-sodium soy sauce. That's it.

You can get fancier by adding mirin, white pepper, MSG, sesame oil, ginger, garlic or sambal oelek to dress it up, but just chicken thighs cut up and marinated in brown sugar and soy sauce will surprise you how good it is. It's best cooked at home over high heat in a cast iron pan so that you get a little char.
Imagine thinking the retail value of this is $8
LOL Walmart's teriyaki sauce actually beats this in quality. What a time we're living in. Amazon's soy sauce has CORN in it and the 2nd ingredient overall is water with no rice wine or rice vinegar in it (Walmart's has both). No wonder it's cheaper than Walmart's.

Watered down soy sauce (with corn) & MSG, then a thickener. The stuff people buy.

Obviously $7.73 would be excessive, but 15oz Walmart brand cheap teriyaki is $2.42 so if it's a product you want, it's still some potential savings.

You forgot to add the fresh ginger. A must in teriyaki sauce.

It literally says ginger in the post.

At its most basic teriyaki is just sugar, soy sauce, and sake/mirin.

Fakespot gave it an "F" rating for this product.

And this is an "Amazon brand"

I make my own teriyaki sauce and I don't pay attention to Amazon bashers anymore.
