Update: Bostonyankee's suggestion about account managers (on page 6 of this discussion) worked for me.
My 12 month required service with Verizon(for previous gift card promotion) is ending soon. Probably won't stay with verizon just for this promotion. But if you're with verizon anyway, this seems to be a great deal.

Just check back after a while and it should be fine. They're probably getting slammed with new sign-ups and the system is just taking time to process everything (pure speculation though).

Here's a message from Verizon:
We're almost done!
Netflix is included on your Verizon bill, and Netflix will no longer bill your previous payment method ($xxxxx credit). Don't worry, we won't use your remaining Netflix credit while you're on the Verizon package.
And here's what my Netflix account now says:
