Didn't work for me as an existing FIOS and 5G wireless customer. Once I logged in, the deal was replaced with a variety of free one-week trial offers.

Update: Bostonyankee's suggestion about account managers (on page 6 of this discussion) worked for me.
Saw this promotion this morning when I logged into my account. Called them to verify what would happen to the NFL+ and Netflix subscriptions if I switch out of Verizon wireless during the year. The csr searched up and told me, the subscriptions to both would be terminated immediately upon Verizon wireless account closing. For the paid service(NFL+or the others), they will refund the unused portion of the subscription.

My 12 month required service with Verizon(for previous gift card promotion) is ending soon. Probably won't stay with verizon just for this promotion. But if you're with verizon anyway, this seems to be a great deal.

Do we have to cancel NFL+? Will it auto renew if we don't or was this for just one season and it wont auto renew?
I'm wondering how to do this also. I turned off the renew on Verizon for Netflix and says it will cancel in Dec. Doesn't seem to be a way to cancel NFL+ on Verizon and on the NFL site, it doesn't show me as having a subscription and wants me to buy it.

Looks like Verizon will promote the return of the special Netflix offer to +play in an ad scheduled to air during ABC's Oscars telecast on Sunday, March 12.

Thanks for the info. 1 year free is great but I wonder if Netflix is planning to get people off shared accounts and make more money

Yes any day now...

Netflix explained that Paid Sharing will roll out in its remaining global markets "later in Q1" — which means these password-sharing changes should kick in for affected U.S. users by the end of March 2023.

Has anyone figured out how to cancel the NFL+ Premium portion of this? I've gone to Verizon +Play Dashboard [verizon.com] to try and find a Cancel button, but there is none. It just has this, with the double "until until" typo.
"Subscription: Active
If you unsubscribe now, you can still access
your subscription until until 07/31/23."

There is a link to manage your NFL+ profile/subscriptions [nfl.com] lower on that page, but there isn't a Cancel button there either. NFL.com's FAQ takes you here [nfl.com], but still no Manage Subscription link to get to a cancel screen. NFL online support politely says that since it was billed through a 3rd party biller, I have to take it up with them.
"Just to share with you, we can only cater subscription that's purchased through the website. Since you mentioned that this is from Verizon, which is third-party biller I highly suggest to contact your point of sales."
Verizon's online chat bot says that it can only help with device protection plan, or buying a new phone. WTH? Then I tried another session asking, "How do I cancel a +Play subscription?"
That got the bot going down the correct path until I got to a human because the bot's instructions took me to where I went above. Uhg. I told the human, "I need help cancelling my +Play subscription to NFL+ Premium."
That 45 minutes of time suck ended up with this response: "Verizon Agent: I have checked the information and as you are looking to [keep] the benefits of Netflix for free, please do not cancel the NFL+ now. You will also notified before it expires through email and texts so you can cancel it that time and also get benefits of Netflix now. Sounds good?"
Sure, buddy.

We have until 7/31/2023 to figure this out or NFL+ Premium will auto-renew at who knows how much $$.
+play Customer Agreement and Terms of Service [verizon.com]
5.9 Annual/Seasonal Subscription Charges. Annual, bi-annual or seasonal subscriptions charges are billed upfront at point of sale. Unless you cancel at least one day prior to the next billing period, charges will automatically renew for the next billing period. You authorize us to collect the then-applicable annual, bi-annual or seasonal fee and any taxes or surcharges for the +play Product(s) using the payment method we have on record for you.

I used the chat function on Verizon. At first the rep was trying to walk me thru to cancel but there was not an unsubscribe feature .The rep canceled and emailed me confirmation..

Thanks! That got me pointed in the correct direction. For some reason my chat bot didn't have anything below the "+Play Support" option, so I typed in "+play subscription" but had to use my phone's browser. The desktop browser didn't respond to clicks when selecting options that the bot presented. I didn't get an email (yet) but my NFL+ status shows Cancelled.

I knew this whole thing was about getting people onto their own accounts. I should really play the lotto Big Grin

The only show I'm interested in is The Witcher so I'll cancel once the year is up.

Nope - I think the only option is to complain to Verizon and hope they add the feature.
