Most of the bad reviews are complaining about the price.
LOU2 most of the complain is about the story.

to be clear, most LOU2 reviews are complaining about LGBT "story" elements... on day 1

PS4 remaster was 60$ preorder, then dropped to 50$ at release (i believe there were refund issued, if i'm remembering articles correctly.) funny they went full price this time and didn't drop it a bit, but is what it is.
i've bought twice so far... i'll wait for <20$ on this one. supposed to be very VERY pretty, but all the controls and whatnot are supposedly exactly the same... so they feel pretty dated (from reviews, i obviously don't have an opinion as i haven't played yet.)
Things wouldn't be as ridiculous If Sony at least had the decency to have some sort of upgrade path from the remaster. A $20 upgrade if you owned the remaster would be a win-win for them but even at this price it's still a hard pass for me.
If you never played it, I can see paying 50. If you played it before I would wait.
