It's sad that Chase just copies the categories from Discover. I think that's the reason Discover stopped disclosing the categories for the entire year in advance.
I have both the cards and I hate to see overlapping categories. With overlapping categories, I always choose paying with Discover, because there is always a bonus when redeeming points for gift cards.
This is only for the freedom and freedom flex cards. Please update the description OP
Doesn't work for freedom unlimited. Only the Freedom Flex and Freedom get these offers

I always do chase because the hyatt redemption is so good.
Stayed in pittsburgh for 5000 points. that is usually at least 2cents/point
IIRC the room was around 121$+ hotel taxes and fees or 2.6+cents/point value.
Sometimes they have bonus for mariott or IHG.. usually ihg isnt as great as their "bogo sale"
but I stayed 5 nights at kincardine ontario with mariott points 50k chase points--> bonus 50% mariott point transfer offer == 1400CAD room
Is this only for Target groceries or Target in general? Thinking about buying AirPods Pro with this card.
It's basically for any Target purchase. Here are the details from their FAQ's:
"Purchases in the`Target' category include purchases at Target stores, Target.com, Target branded gas stations operated by Target, and any other Target branded retail stores operated by Target. Please note, merchants operating within or on Target premises such as merchants that sell fast food, beauty services, and gas stations that are not Target branded are not included in this category. Target affiliate businesses and local delivery merchants are also not included in this category. Purchases in the Target category, including grocery purchases, will earn a total of 5% cash back."

Get better value with points vs straight cash from discover. That's why I always exhaust Chase before I use discover. Plus, I have three Chase freedom cards (two heritage- visa, and one flex) + CSR
Use for transfer partner. Sometimes you can redeem them for more than 1 cent per point ( cash value)
Example, got a room with Hyatt. 12k points per night but cash was 300 dollars a night.
Sorry this is off topic but hoping someone with the Chase Freedom Flex CC can help me as I am thinking of getting the card, but trying to get more info on the cell phone protection.
Do you know if the name on the cell phone bill has to match the name on the credit card to use the protection or any cell bill that I pay using the card is covered? I pay 2 cell bills: 1 under a business name and 1 for my husband. The credit card bill will be under my name.
I have tried to asking Chase and Mastercard, even an insurance company and can't get any answers. Any help would be appreciate.

Doesn't matter! Can even pay friend's bills and earn 10%
Grocery Stores but no Walmart, can someone list a list of accepted Grocery Stores?
Target: why, everyone is already have Redcard
Fitness Clubs and Gyms 5% Back: really?
Poor soul.
Bonus 5% means 6% at target.
And minimum CUR point value is .01, but it averages.02 when transferred - which means its almost like 10% back at target. But no no, keep using your redcard
