My order history shows that I have ordered 4 bottles of this product from Amazon between 2018-2020 for prices ranging from $8.50 – $12.61.
Two days ago Camel sent me a notification of this price drop to $5.63. But the price jumped back above $20 just a few hours later before I could place the order.
The Equate generic at Walmart is about the same price for the smaller 6oz-8oz of the 'extra strength' version. So this is a great deal for the name brand full size
I haven't seen a difference in the effectiveness between the original and extra strength formulas. I think you can get the same effectiveness with the original by just leaving it sit and soak on the scalp for an extra minute or two.
