Picked up one of these today. There is a $10 coupon in the box for the store brand filament. And the matte black filament is on sale for $18. So you're out the door for $108 + tax for a nice starter setup

Creality is more something your going to tibker with a bit and upgrade components as you go. For 99 this is cheap. A couple weeks ago I would said get the Ender 3 S1 Pro for 289 from B&H but that's over

These deals are designed to get you into the store and impulse buy other things while you are there. Using the "well I'm already here and I would have it now" approach.
No benefit in doing that online as you are more likely to shop around and compare deals.

I have my ender 3 pro running Klipper as of this week and the prints beautifully. I did an upgrade of the motherboard because the stepper driver sound was annoying but my understanding is many of the new ones come with silent steppers.

Good printer after some tinkering Smilie

It's loud and missing features, but it's a good starter 3D printer if you just don't add mods or upgrades to it. Use the $100 printer as-is to learn and put that upgrade money in the kitty for a better printer down the road when you're ready.

Since this is an open printer, stick to PLA filament. PETG and ABS should have enclosed filtration enclosures to not cause lung damage with long-term use.
