I just don't get the price-point on these. NES Mini for $60? Very cool. SNES Mini for $70? Ok that's getting up there but it's one of the best consoles ever made and it came with a ton of the classics. Fine.

PS for $100? Amiga for $130? Come on...most games back then have been far-surpassed by modern games. Are they still fun? Sure. Nostalgic? Heck ya. But I'm mostly buying these things because they look cool and they're fun to dink around with occasionally. Emulators are almost always a better/more convenient experience and I don't feel bad getting ROMs for games that are 30+ years old.

Really enjoyed using Amiga back in middle/high school, but mostly for the genlock video overlay capabilities. Always found the games pretty weird and niche though, and that's coming from someone whose 3 first game systems around that time were the Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn and Virtual Boy. It was the kiss of death when I bought a game system (meanwhile my brother went from Super Nintendo to PS1...)

The time for this has come and past... in like the early to mid 2000s. Its sad that the gaming industry is duopolized by amd and nvidia with price gouging video cards-- basically destroyed alot of interest and demand. The last of the cultural interest (in Commodore nostalgia) was in Europe, namely Germany and some of the nordic countries like Sweden, and Finland, Denmark. Can't imagine there is much left after Covid and the doorstep war with Russia.
