*Offer expires 1/2/2023. Uber One gift can only be redeemed for one 6-month or one 12-month Uber One membership (you cannot currently give a monthly membership as a gift). Recipients will have up to one year after the date of the gift purchase to redeem their gift ("Redemption Period"). If the recipient is an existing Uber One member, they may also redeem the gift for Uber Cash equivalent to the original purchase price during the Redemption Period. You will be charged for the gift, plus applicable taxes, when you place your order.

Uber will send your gift recipient redemption instructions. If the gift isn't redeemed during the Redemption Period, the gift automatically converts to Uber Cash, equivalent to the original purchase price of the recipient's Uber One gift, which can be used on Uber or Uber Eats. If the recipient chooses to cancel their membership prior to the expiration of the gifted Uber One membership, neither you nor the recipient will be refunded the value of the remaining membership period. However, the recipient will still have Uber One benefits for the duration of the gift period.

No. If you're like me and have an Uber account on a work and personal phone, you could gift it to yourself in that manner but can't gift from current account that has Uber One to that same account.

Don't know what it's like near everyone else but UberEats has become unreliable as hell and Uber doesn't give a shit. They've regularly screwed over restaurants as well then their drivers just don't bother getting your food.

I've sworn off Uber after months of garbage service and "sorry your food was cold, here's $5 off your next order" or "priority just means the driver will go to your house first, not that they will pick up your food when it's ready"

Doesn't look like we can pay with the membership using an Uber gift card. My Amex has $5 back on $15 purchase so that should work.

I guess I've been lucky. Have not had any issues at all these past 2 years. I make sure not to order during peak times.

I always hope the food delivery comes late so I can get the $5 credit! Haha. The food never tastes as fresh/good via delivery anyway in my opinion, even when it comes on time, so the extra few minutes don't usually make much difference to me.

In all memberships, I think doordash is the best. Their fee is always reasonably less when I use my grubhub or uberone.
