I'm in same boat, I think we're better off with Dell as we have it beat with the 16:10 larger screen. Unless you're worried about 240hz over 165hz. I can also only assume Amazon & Dell would be much easier warranty/return process. But the maingear has a better webcam and lighter weight. I think the Dell G16 is 140w GPU and according to https://community.microcenter.com...eup-review the maingear gpu is 125W (150W configurable). I think Dell's keyboard is nicer too, unless ya want the numpad of the maingear.

the keyboard on the g16 is awesome. very comfy to type, and i basically dont make much mistakes when typing fast.. my beef with the g16 is the fan whine, but otherwise it's an awesome laptop. i do not want numpad, but id trade for the maingear if it means quieter fans when idle/just basic browsing

Read Microcenter reviews for both the AMD and Intel model and it seems there are a lot of design issues with this chassis

It's microcenters in house brand which is basically a rebranded tongfang chassis from what I've heard.

The screen on this is mediocre. Someone posted thermal issues when watching YouTube in store.

Bought the Legion 5 Pro 32 GB 3070 TI for $1499 instead.

If you have the budget, go for the 3070 TI version of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with 32 GB RAM. Microcenter has it for only $1499. Only 3.5% sales tax in NJ.

3070 TI just seems like the minimum for decent gaming today and will fall behind in a few years. If that's not important, go for the 3060. Otherwise neither.

Does Lenovo always do sd cash back? I read people getting

L5i pro 3070 ti 2tb 16gb for 1550, then sd cash 10% back on top

Personally I've never done sd cash back yet. Is it a 24/7 thing with Lenovo or come and go? Hell of a deal for those getting 1550 minus 150= 1400 for ther spec.

Itl let me demo the machine to see if I like it, he'll who knows maybe I will love it

I just tossed my iMac 2021 16gb 2tb 8gpu/8cpu up for sale to make room on desk.

I hate the iMac, can't play any games, it's taking space. I use MacBook for literally everything.
