Also, Nintendo has been pretty good at supply with amiibo lately.
Best buy might be a better place to buy for some who want the option to pick up on release day

I have similar sentiment about pre ordering anything. I usually get it at discount. But then one exception so far was the Persona5 Joker amiibo. I didn't pre order and it sold out online and never saw it anywhere in store. Luckily I was able to snag the Dragonquest Hero amiibo in gamestop randomly months after release. But never got that Joker amiibo. I have Cloud amiibo so I don't want to miss out on sephiroth so I'll break my "No pre-ordering anything" rule just this once and pre order this one.
