I missed some of the great 65" in sub $400 deals during Prime day and Black Friday, mainly because I was doing so much research into the difference in models brands and Technologies sort of like a paralysis by analysis. What I come to realize is I'm truly not going to be happy until I get a 65" to 75" OLED or equal technology TV, but not willing to pay $1200+, so this TV at that price should hold me over for a few years until the price of my preferred TVs gets below $600 during black Friday.

I've been super impressed by Hisense Dolby HDR or whatever they call it paired with an Apple TV 4k. I bought my son the midrange one from Costco last fall, and was so impressed I bought the fancy model from the previous year on sale for myself. Bonkers value-for-the-money on both that made me forget about my lust for an OLED.

I initially bought the 43" TCL for $150 that was on here during BF. It's been great but the size just isn't suiting me so I pulled the trigger on this.

Where exactly does this series fall inline in the Hisense brand? Low, mid, high tier? I honestly just pulled the trigger on it based on what's been discussed here. For the size and price, if it's half decent in the bedroom, I'll be a happy camper.

Edit: dang. That last sentence - that's what she said. 😂
This is the lowest end of their QLED series which will outperform any standard LED set like the TCL 3 and 4 series.

Solid deal. I just set up a 65U6GR this evening that I purchased today. I honestly would likely have been better off with the 58" but oh well...more size is more size. Overall, it is not the best looking television. I wanted an 85" Sony but in this season of life I had a budget.

I feel like the Hisense gave me the best bang for my buck. There is a bit of DSE on my panel but I haven't decided whether it is bad enough for me to roll the lotto dice again or just deal with it.

Overall, if a 58" will suit you and you're looking for something under $500 this is about the best you can deal. It's certainly the best for $350.

I was curious if these U6HF Fire TV panels could have differing DSE/gray uniformity just like how the U6GR vs U6H do already (or if they're in line with the H's which supposedly edges out the GR in testing). And altogether they have some motion handling differences too. The 55U6H has been soldout in my local retail with no re-stock ETA since BF.

Thanks! This will be replacing an old Toshiba 43" LCD that's been going strong for God knows how long. The best TV I have now is a 60" Samsung LED I purchased 7 years ago from Costco for $1000. Nothing special about it except it's true 120Hz - and now I can't even enjoy watching sports on it anyone after seeing how amazing the quality is on QLED, OLED, etc. options out there.

Not expecting the best out of this Hisense but enough to make me keep it and be happy for $350. Especially if it delivers something better than my 7-yr $1000 Samsung.

I'm pretty certain they dont make this QLED model with the Roku OS, they do however make a 58" non-QLED with the Roku OS.

The extra $50 is very well spent for the QLED version.

I'm not surprised that the H would edge out the GR since the H is supposedly a year newer. It seems like the H series around me is out of stock and the GR is getting very, very slim. I rolled the dice and with the 18 months Best Buy financing plus the $99 additional five year warranty I feel like I did alright. $650 over 18 months for a television that is solid and should get me by until the kids are older and I can trust them to not scratch the screen.

Anyone know how this would compared to a 55" H8G purchased two years ago? I currently have the H8G in my room for my ps5. Was waiting for another deal on the U8G or better for the 120hz but not in a hurry yet. Need to replace an old 1080p 55" in the living room, and trying to see if I should put the U6H in the living room or my bedroom.

*edit* Just purchased, so I'll probably leave this tv in the living room.

It has a 2 year warranty so that's a step up from the usual 1 year on their sets prior to 2022.

Granted this comparison is different sizes, and the Fire TV U6HF isn't guaranteed to be the same panel quality as the U6H in the comparison, but it gives a general idea of expectations between generation/tier characteristics they offer. I consider these rtings reviews more like an approximation of what to expect when checking out TVs since quality control can vary.
