Most people will consider the image more than acceptable for a family room straight of the box, while serious gamers will also be attracted by the faster-than-typical lag time for 4K models. And although it doesn't offer the color accuracy, contrast, or black level a serious enthusiast would ideally want, it can also do a credible job on image quality with lights off."

Picture quality is stunning, but I have to watch in a really dark room.
So it looks like this projector is a significant Improvement in the lighting and longevity department. How about picture quality itself?
Edit: 4ms? Damn, my 727 is like 50ms.
I guess I'm not really noticing it because I'm just playing all the ring single player games

It's basically the base model of this projector in this deal. For projector deals you kind of have to look at the MSRP to figure out what models equate to each other. Most similar models across all major brands have pretty much the same MSRP because they all seem to share the same internal parts, making the cost to produce pretty similar. The one you linked has an MSRP that is in line with the sale price of this one.
Almost every spec is close to the same so for presumably ~$150-200 more you get 4k60 with low input lag and 1080p240 with insanely low input lag.
I think it's worth the price to upgrade just because a 4K projector is probably going to keep you satisfied for a lot longer than a 1080p one will.

So far so good. Picture is very sharp but the color accuracy is not as good as my earlier Optoma HD141X. But still good enough.
Projector needs good bit of calibration. I am using the economy mode to reduce the noise but still very bright. I have a dedicated media room so no outside light issues.
Only glitch so far, is that the projector will not switch on if left off for a week or so. Need to unplug the power cord and put it back. Works fine after that. Anyone knows why this pay happen? I tried different power settings but no luck.
