Also, no HDR10+ or Dolby vision!
Yeah. Looks like all QNED85 series has everything you need in 2022. QNED80 series don't.

However I like the panel for the price. Direct Lit full array LED only available on 86" model. Others sizes in this series are edge lit only.

Got it. Thanks. QNED80 seems to be much better compared to UQ8000 even UQ9000. At least based on the prices I saw on Best Buy.

The only LG to buy is OLED. Samsung qn90a or qn90b is great. Sony x95j, Sony x95k, or (possibly) Sony x90k is acceptable. This applies if this is your main/movie watching TV. Anything else, meh get whatever.

Watching NoTime to Die on an 85" QN90A right now. Don't settle for an LG unless it's an OLED. So many get returned because of blooming and poor black levels.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Why are people trying to compare it to an OLED or upper line models with Dolby Vision, Atmos, etc? This is an 86 inch, 1200.00 tv. with a 5 year warranty and a 100.00 streaming credit. No, it doesn't have Dolby Vision, Atmos, mini led, etc. Its like comparing a Subaru BRZ to a Lambo. Get real!!!

Bought UQ8000 series for sale for 999, however the black is the worst ever. Watched Enola Holmes on Netflix, black looks dark grey and hard to see between shades. I'm returning. Would this be any better?

Did you even try to adjust settings. Put the gamma to 1.9.
And if its still not acceptable return it.

For the price its not bad.
