Thank you for the correction and highlighting the fact that fab or non fab, the mulching kit for the xt1's renders the mower incapable of satisfactorily mulching.
If you mulch, buying this mower will most likely be an exercise in $2,900 worth of regret and frustration. I say most likely bc there are some positive reviews. I'm assuming they're cutting the driest grass on the flattest yard knowm to earth. This mower w mulch plug dumps the largest amounts of clumps on any turn and any hill, no matter the incline. It'll also dump grass into any imperfect area of your yard. Which, of course. just leads to greater issues in those spots.
It's also noted by many as a very loud mower.

Additionally, although Cub Cadet highlights this as new for 2022, all the specs are exactly the same as the older model - except the seat and hood. Lipstick on a pig with a new higher price (2020 these were $1900 to $2000; 2021 I bought mine for $2,050).
