I've had the Harbor Frt. version of this workbench for 15+years, it's functional and durable for what it is. This is a bargain all these years later relative to just about everything anymore.

we had 1 of these at work which we got about 2 months ago ... the metal is REALLY thin -- in fact if you are not careful putting it together it will bend on you ... if you are doing some light work like soldering or putting electronics together then you are fine -- put if you are going to be doing anything that is going to require strength or weight then avoid ... it will bend on you

I also have the harbor freight version, which is basically the same thing. Finally got around to assembling it the other week. The build is pretty easy. The drawers are pretty garbage tier, but usable. You could probably beef them up a bit by using plywood or something in the bottom instead of the backing board stuff it comes with. Overall it's been pretty decent for the little bit of time I've been using it. One other thing I will recommend is getting a better light. The included light is pretty dim. I happened to have a 4ft T5 2200 lumen light available that just barely fit. Way more light.

Ordering it last year. Shipment damaged on the way and Fedex returned it to the warehouse.

Similar stories with everyone who ordered.

I also have the HF version. I have been using it in a small engine repair shop as my electrics bench for over a year. It's sturdy and can handle quite a bit of weight. I have 3 small new engines on the bottom shelf and it holds them fine. I did order a product called New Pig Corporation Workbench Liner 25820 from Amazon. This fits the perfect length but needs to be trimmed height wise. It stops you from having to worry about spills and it's also grippy. I'd highly recommend the workbench and liner. It's the best bench you can possibly get at such a low price.

I bought https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-.../228817605 for $69 in 2018.

I have it in my shed, it works great, its held up. I'd pay $99 easily.

edit: as others have mentioned, it is thin metal.. but you're paying $99 -- This is a disposable shelf you can easily get a few years out of. If you're looking for a life time item, this is not it. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE.

Same to me.

I ordered it twice and once they reached the local Fedex and got "Shipment damaged" on both. I called it BS Mad

I bought the HF version of this at the same price with a 20% off coupon making it $80~. Like others said, the drawers aren't the greatest but overall pretty solid for the price I paid.

Like everyone else, I've got the HF version. Paid a touch under this price. Solid or well-built is not how I'd describe it. More like "adequate" or "it works". It's the Mainstays brand of work benches. 😄

Thanks for your comment. Soldering and small electronics is exactly what I would use it for so it's good to know it's perfect for the small stuff.

For all those who bought the HF version, is this something the stores carry or did you have to have it shipped to you.

Sounds like avoiding shipping is the way to go if possible.

I have 2 of these harbour freight in my print/laser room. Upgraded the light with the one recently on here from Walmart. Drawers are shallow but pretty functional. I have the lower bed fill with solid wood pieces (>100 lbs) for projects and it holds them no problem. The box it came in is pretty heavy, better for 2 people to move for transport. Assembling took a bit of time, lots of little nut and bolts. But for $100 each it's a bargain considering it gives you 24x48" of workspace. With 2 side by side I have plenty of space to spread my prints and other wood cutting projects.

Not sure if they're having QA problems on this still, but I purchased this exact bench in March of 2021 ($129) and after returning it three times, Walmart quit offering a replacement and only a refund. All three shipments were missing parts. One of them, the plastic feet were not poured correctly and one of the drawers were bent up badly, which was weird because the box was not damaged. The 3rd time, the box was so damaged, I was shocked FedEx would deliver something in that condition. All 4 legs, the bottom shelf, and the peg board was missing out of it. Some parts dropped out when I carried it from the porch into the house. 1/3 of the cardboard box was missing and was replaced with black plastic and a lot of tape.

And I also agree, this is the same bench that Harbor Freight sells
