A few tips if you're eligible:
1. Sign up for their EDU discount. Brings the price to $555.49 for me.
2. If you have a Citi credit card, check whether you have a HP offer. I have an HP offer for $50 off a minimum purchase of $500. This would basically take care of the sales tax for me in CA.
I did post previously about my negative experiences with some Citi merchant offers not crediting; to their credit, the majority of the offers do credit and I finally got customer service to compensate me $19.98 for two credits that failed to credit automatically. Nice find OP.

Touch is essential for small displays so that you can have the lappy in your lap and scroll with your fingers..
Lousy manufacturers

Reviews mainly ding it for its low volume. Everything seems to be spot on with a lot reviewers calling it a hidden gem.
