Using them for 2 years - very unhappy.
1. Every couple months hub will just stop working and need to be power switched
2. camera quality are sub par - cann get a clear picture of the porch pirate's face
3. worst one - the app is horrible. From the moment you get notification that someone is on your front porch (notification is almost instant - good) you will need 20 seconds before you can get live feed from camera on your phone. And that's on fast WiFi connection. And only if app works at all - often (every couple days) it just won't work - no recordings, won't play recordings, thumbnail preview on camera can be few weeks old
4. speaking something from camera speaker - plus another 10-15 seconds if it will work at all.
I'm so pissed with them. There is only thing they do good - giving you a recording of someone stealing your package while you deprerately trying to make app work.

Makes a difference when lighting is not great at night or area is pitch black.

Starting January 1, 2023, Arlo is implementing an EOL policy for its products and services, with the Generation 3 (VMC3030) and Pro (VMC4030) cameras being affected on April 1, 2023. These cameras were released in 2014 and 2016, respectively. The EOL of the Generation 3 (VMC3030) and Pro (VMC4030) cameras means that certain features of, and support for, these cameras will become unavailable, including 7-day cloud storage, firmware updates, and email notifications. To find your product model number go to the Arlo Secure App > Settings > Support Center > click on your specific camera and then scroll down to the details section to view the product model number.

Considering I had gotten these to go along side my existing pro and non pro previously with lifetime free 7-day cloud, I will be returning these, even at the cheap $100 for 3 price and move out of arlo completely come 4/1.

As part of Arlo's commitment to delivering high performance products and to protect our customers' privacy and data, we continually review the ability of our products and services to meet the ever-evolving technology and cybersecurity standards of the market. Based on this analysis, we determine when our products and services need to be updated or retired and moved into their end of life (EOL) stage.

Starting January 1, 2023, Arlo is implementing an EOL policy for its products and services, with the Generation 3 (VMC3030) and Probably (VMC4030) cameras being affected on April 1, 2023.

These cameras may continue to be operated after April 1, 2023 by all existing Arlo owners to live stream video, receive motion notifications, and store video clips locally with a compatible Arlo base station. These cameras also can utilize Arlo's new cloud storage, which is available with the Arlo Secure subscription service, though the EOL'd cameras themselves may lose some functionality over time, as they will not be provided with further firmware upgrades.

More information on Arlo's EOL policy can be found here.

I recently returned my Arlo doorbell because they don't allow ANY event playback (not even 10 seconds) unless you sign up for their expensive service !!!
And obviously, Arlo doorbell doesn't support either MicroSD storage or even your local IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.x) recording so it's pretty much like either pay them $4/month for "basic" services or throw it in trash ! Luckily I had bought it from Costco so returned it after 1 year and got my $100 back refund, and will NEVER buy anything from Arlo again.

Yes, I have it setup like this, an old VMB4000 and it pairs with any Arlo camera, even the new ones.
I cannot see video after three months. I got answer from arlo . All video you can see on apps are from cloud. You donot have records in cloud if you donot have plan subscription. However you basestation have records on USB You can see those records on usb if you put USB on computer. I was confused by my old camera which still have 7 days free records in cloud.
