Not such a big deal about the case however the face is plastic "acrylic" . What you would normally call the crystal i think. I don't have any scratches on any of my cheapie invicta glass faces however this casio is scratched.
I got this as a world watch with mutiple time zones. It looks expensive even though it is plastic. Actually the band gets caught in my arm hair that is uncomfortable.

In addition to also having the world clock (minus the map display on the ae1200), it also has built in countdown timers that I use constantly for cooking, laundry, tea, kids, etc. PLUS 9 interval timers that I find unbelievably useful for workouts and don't think I can live without now.
The ae1300 is the same case as this ae1200, so most of the mods you'll find work for it as well.
I'm not traveling so much that I need all the time zone stuff. The map looks cool, but so do the 3 dials on the 1300. And it has the time zones feature anyway.
The 1300 was $14 at target a couple days ago. I bought spares. But at $20 normal price, it's difficult to beat the value.
I don't do metal bands. Too floppy and hair pully. The rubber strap on both models is fine enough, but for the comfiest experience I prefer a 22mm NATO elastic strap

You'll need strap adapters:
